Dallas!
I am officially a Texan again. You have no idea how good that feels.
We drove all day yesterday (Monday) and crossed the Texas state line sometime around 7:30, stopped for the inaugural Whataburger meal at around 9:30 in Amarillo and finally made it to Dallas around 5 am Tuesday morning. It was slow going because there was so much wind that the Turtle on top of the car I was driving kept causing the car to be nearly bowled over. It was slightly scary.
The first day in Texas was spent shopping. Found a HUGE warehouse full of jewelry, purses, bags, etc called Sam Moon and got a pair of earrings and wandered the mall before buying some essentials at Walmart and getting Chili's to go. Came back to the house and watched That Thing You Do while eating and then had the house in an uproar over a MASSIVE roach that dissapeared somewhere into the kitchen. My dad is on a business trip so of course there's no one brave enough to try to find and/or kill it. And now we're all terrified to sleep because we have no furniture right now so we'll be sleeping on the floor and we have no idea where this effing roach is and eww eww eww.
But anyway! Yay for moving!
