(no subject)
Things are goin great right now. I doubt Tessa has even another two weeks before this baby actually comes, I'm so excited.. just as long as those girls hold on until after their tetanus shots that they need to get so it goes into the baby's colostrum! Anyways... grr... the barn is like spotless.. I'm loving having less horses, it gives me more time to focus on the ones I actually DO have. And shockingly enough.. I dont miss jackie, lena, or ditto at ALL!! Flicka turns two on may 4th so I am going to slowly begin her training then, doc on the other hand I'm going to probably debut a lot at halter this year and then send him to a proffessional next year as a three year old. I can tell by working with him he isnt mentally ready yet, it sucks, but it is probably in his favor that I might wait! Plus with these two new foals I am looking at going big into the breed shows... so I just wont have time to focus on all that this year. Tessa's baby is going to be incentive fund and I am going to take FULL advantage of it! Hmm... other than that, we changed tess's paddock around AGAIN so now she has a paddock almost as big as the one in the far back, and she is SO happy! Ioka is doing well, I probably wont ever ride her other than maybe a few times just for kicks because the scarring across her back leg has clearly infected her tendion flexion as well and I'm just not going to push it, plus she is 15 years old so maybe being a mommy is the best thing for her now! Tessa on the other hand I am breeding back this spring yet going to show once that puncture wound heals up on her, it's going to leave a nasty scar, but I'm ok with that, it adds character, plus she is honestly one of the prettiest horses I have ever gotten to own, or much less seen around locally! So she's worth it regardless...
Hmm... other than that, Going to the drive in's tomorrow but right now I'm sitting here waiting on megan to get here. It's paintball weekend again so we have to drive up to ken's house and sit and drink a few and watch the boys bruise themselves with paintballs.. fun fun... Oh well, I havent had much time for her in the past few years and I've known her for almost eight, so I guess I need to make an effort to keep one of the few friends who literally knows EVERYTHING about me! **Sigh**
