easter trips
I've been blown away by some reactions this weekend. A few weeks ago I started dating a girl who's skin color is somewhat darker than my own. We were having breakfast in a small community in south carolina. A few blocks away was a college of hypocrites, a christian college that discouraged such dating within its campus. Discouraged to the point of expelling students engaged in such relationships. Naturally I expected some attention. There were stares, but this being the south people were polite. Went up to New York this weekend (itself a split second decision with train trips and sleeping bags involved). I figured it was the City, haven of cosmopolitan life and openmindedness. Guess where we got more hostility from. Some cunt even had the audacity to use some epitaphs and was about to get his dick stomped in before my brother broke it up.
But it wasn't all bad. Saw Rent again, practically for free. Had dinner with her parents and sold them on the idea of me. Between that, the travel and the company it was the best weekend I could remember in forever.
