A new Dad recently asked on one of my facebook groups about feeding advice. Another Dad bucking all the other advice suggested he follow a program by Author E that has been advised against by the American Academy of Pediatrics since 1998, the World Health Organization and Le Leche League.
These are Author E's qualifications for giving baby advice:
He "has no background or expertise in child development, psychology, breastfeeding, or pediatric medicine, and holds neither an associate's nor a bachelor's degree from any college; his master of arts degree in Christian ministry was granted through a program that awarded credit for life experience in lieu of an undergraduate degree."
Yes, a man who has an honorary degree for life experience, who's been discredited since 1998 still has parents following his advice. And people wonder why I get up in arms about raising babies.
