Interesting article on Slate about
declining album sales. I'm very happy to see that it's obvious to most intelligent people that peer to peer file sharing cannot be blamed single handedly for lower sales year to year.
Also I'm very happy to see that the record companies' greed and ignorance is causing them big losses in sales (and in credibility). They've pushed the P2P networks out of business and now the consumer is waking up to the reality of poor quality products and ever increasing prices.
I'll be vindicated to see one of the Big Five go down in history as bankrupted because of their incapacity to adopt new technologies and new means of marketing better products. Much like Polaroid got killed by failing to adopt digital technology, etc. That would please me to no end!
