Short Answer? People are too poor and traumatized to buy much oil. Also, Iran does this noise thing every few years for foreign investment to keep their regime from falling. Turns out they're really bad at money management in Iran's govt, and its basically a Cult, which does the Implode or Explode thing when the money runs out. They spent most of their oil already. They want to sell natural gas to keep the regime going a bit longer, thus the need for a nuclear power plant for domestic use, keep the lights on and reduce the risk of rebellion. The EU is on the verge of collapse and a return to individual countries and currencies, so they aren't bothering with it. And Israel likes its saber rattling for voting reasons. They rarely actually DO anything though. Its just noise for votes, kinda like the US govt makes broad claims about US jobs, but we're still facing a 25% real world unemployment rate when you remove the fraudulent counting practices of the labor board ( ... )
