Friend's Hostel-- It was an truly an eyeopener for us living within this treacherous neighbourhood. Thank heavens it was literally a few steps away from the Metro. No one even dared to whip out their cameras for photo-taking cos it may either be stolen or the locals may try to be funny with you. So in an attempt to blend in, we MADE A DASH for our hostel the minute we step out of the Metro station.
Whenever I stepped into the hostel, it felt like a safehouse.
Whenever I stepped into our room, it felt like an even safer house.
Arc de Triomphe
Eiffel Tower
I had to run across the road, plant myself in the middle, look out for cars and snap this shot.
The queue was long but we were entertained during our long wait. There were at least a hundred illegal migrant vendors around the area selling Eiffel Tower souvenirs. A bunch of them treaded on the toes of the police and the latter started whistling and chasing after them. The vendors then dispersed and ran towards us trying to squeeze their way in to get away from the police. It doesn't end there. The vendors will start hurling verbal abuses in an attempt to challenge the police. And the cycle goes on..
The lift that went diagonally upwards and downwards, pretty quickly.
This was one of my coldest moments.
Our view from the highest level on the Eiffel.
How can anyone not love LEEZAIHUA!
Yes, and again.
Now that we've come to the end of our Euro Trip..
In search of Longchamp
The Louvre
Mona Lisa
I was expecting something on a bigger scale but when I saw it, I realized that it was a really small portrait.
Highly misrepresented through the varied forms of media!
ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SHOTS OF THE TRIP.
I wonder what were we mesmerized with..
Now brace yourself for the onslaught of jumping shots (again)!
Only for those above 21.
This turned out to be the best cos I managed to capture the tip of the prism.
Without the jumping ladies
I LOVE PAUL.
The chocolate-coated palmiers are simply to die for.

Denise is addicted to (expensive) shopping.
Our final meal in Europe which was nothing short of heavenly. It was the first time I've ever savoured duck sausage and it was pretty darn good! The home-made mashed potato was easily one of the best I've ever savoured in my life. I'm not the biggest fan of mashed potato but even I wiped mine clean. That wins MANY HANDS DOWN.
I never got word of how we were supposed to pose..
I mean.. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Moulin Rouge
The flight back home was so much more bearable somehow..
Running (literally!) through the gates upon landing on Singapore soil. The air feels fresher, it feels safer and finally, it feels like home.
And now, I have to start work on my scrapbook simply because years from now, I want to be able to relive these memories that I've build with the three of you. I want to colour the pages of my Keith Haring with those hilarious moments which we shared, the laughter we've earned and the rock (diamond)-solid support we've given each other during this trip. Not only is it unforgettable, it's immensely priceless and irreplaceable.
Not only did we actualize our Euro dream, we made it through "marlboro, marlboro, marlboro", we gritted our way through the north pole-worthy coldness at Tiber Camp, we've seen each other thru our worst (for some, I do mean those who end up with swollen lips), we've watched each others' backs despite having alot on our own plates.... We are certified friends for life!
