Camping Tiber
Our routine walk every morning : )
I will always remember..
... the freezing cold nights when we will sprint to the toilets armed with our toiletries and back again to our cabins, this time all fresh and clean but still unearthly cold as we cling onto our fbt shorts for dear life.
... the music accompanied with the soothing lukewarm water in the shower.
... how we rushed inside the mini-mart to grab our haribo before hopping onto the shuttle bus.
... the sugar doughnut I had for breakfast, that was heaven.
... the little snippets of life we shared while waiting for our shuttle.
... the divine food they served.
... that very morning when we parted our ways.. For the record, I was genuinely sad.
... how we will await our turn at the Internet cafe.
... how paranoid we'd get whenever we turn on the heater. We're afraid that when we leave the cabin, someone forgets to turn it off. So these are frequent:
"Can you imagine if we go back and there's a fire in our cabin?"
"Did you really turn it off? Think again."
And as we're walking back.. "Do you smell something burning?"
There are so many things that I remember, love and know I will miss. And I hope to pen them down soon enough before they slip by me.....
Upon arrival at the Colosseum
The queue for entry into the Colosseum
Apparently back in the middle ages, the Roman kings utilized the power of the palm to display his desire to execute or save a man. The one you see in the middle with Z's fingers all spread out, it means protection while the one on the extreme right with the clenched fist symbolizes the complete opposite: withdrawal of protection.
And we got ourselves.. a new friend.
The cheeky guide
Failed
Passed
So we were waiting outside for a really long time for our guide to bring us for Part II of our tour but he never came. So we had a replacement and he turned out to be someone's eye-candy.
Hint: Both shots were from WENDY's camera
This looks like a cut-and-paste.
I have no idea what this was about.

Everyone's a fan of the Barcaccia Fountain.
Trevi Fountain
"A traditional legend holds that if visitors throw a coin into the fountain, they are ensured a return to Rome. Among those who are unaware that the "three coins" of Three Coins in the Fountain were thrown by three different individuals, a reported current interpretation is that two coins will ensure a marriage will occur soon, while three coins leads to a divorce. A reported current version of this legend is that it is lucky to throw three coins with one's right hand over one's left shoulder into the Trevi Fountain.
Approximately 3,000 Euros are thrown into the fountain each day and are collected at night. The money has been used to subsidize a supermarket for Rome's needy. However, there are regular attempts to steal coins from the fountain, including some using a magnetized pole. "
