ugh how awful about your dad. wasting your time at school? aren't you JUST finishing your first year? you have SO much time to figure things out, which i'm sure your mom/Devon/friends have told you, so your dad is being ridiculous, and he probably knows that somewhere deep down. i don't know a lot about dads because i don't have one, so i can't say that i know he'll be less of an ass in the future "because he's your dad," but you've got good stuff going on and you know what you want.

Ugh the only good thing about my old job was a select few of the people I worked with and the $$$. Seriously, I am missing that kind of moolah. But Devon and my roomie (Stephanie) have both told me how much happier and more lively I have been since quitting. I was trying to do work and school full-time along with the sorority and everything else and I was totally puttering out (hence the lack of LJ updates).
And that night I talked to my mom for a few hours and she basically confirmed all my suspicions about the kind of person my dad is. He has a streak of dishonesty and just... weirdness about money and such. He never went to college and I think that's why he's so adamant on his "college isn't a necessity" stance. I dunno, thinking about it is still upsetting, but it happened and all that means is I will be in way more debt than I originally thought. Shit happens, at least I'm still in school!
