Once again, thank you to everyone who's donated; I'm keeping up with the thank-yous as best I can. There have been some donations of astounding proportions, and some modest ones, and they all count. No-one is judging you on how much you can afford to give. If everyone I ask gives $10, we'll be more than set, and if everyone gives $5 we'll be close, and if everyone gives even $1, we'll be well on the way. Single dollars count, and are most welcome. You can make the world a better place with a single dollar!

Also, keep crossposting and promoting this - the more people hear, the easier and quicker the fundraising gets - and keep your ideas coming on how else to promote this. I've got a serious list of people to call (not least the bloody BBC, lol), but this afternoon's task, now that I have permission, is to write a suitable post for corsetmakers, a community that knows me already and is over 3,000 watchers strong.
After all, I can't think of any other group who'd be more enthusiastic to get me to the next milestone - $2000 and $2500 - the corset and its embroidery. I'm thinking the Edwardian version of this. Maybe with peacock feathers instead of foliage, somewhat inspired by my Holy Grail kimono gown at Kyoto. If you're going for an incredible dress, might as well make an incredible corset, right?
Get me committed: at least when I'm in an institution 'll have time to make and embroider the corset!
