I have begun applying for jobs in Vancouver, and the significance of that hit pretty hard and fast when I got a call yesterday for an interview!
they want to interview me Friday, but thankfully they understand that we have buttloads of snow right now, and are in the middle of another storm as I type. we've gotten....mmm...5 inches of snow already tonight, i'd say, and it is still just plummeting down in sheets! i love it, but i don't really want to drive across the state in it! besides, they keep closing roads. that would be bad. so they agreed to do a phone interview on Friday morning.
ack! i hate interviews, i get so nervous! and on the phone, it's going to be even worse because it's so much easier to talk over each other and trip over your words on the phone. ack. i'd better be extra sure my phone is charged that morning! gosh, how much would that suck to have it die in the middle of a job interview! no, thank you!
i think it would be a good position, though. it pays only 14.36 an hour, which i'm not sure will be enough, if i'm to be the main breadwinner in the house while husband is in school. i sure hope he gets a bunch of grants or something! the money from the orofino church will help some, but it's really a very small amount considering his overall bill for school...if i could land a job that pays more like 18 an hour - which is more like what he makes right now - then that would be very much cool. we could get a 3-bedroom place on that.
i guess we'll see. it's all so much in God's hands, which actually gives me a lot of peace because i know all i can do is look, and apply, and do my best, and whatever God wants is what we'll get.
I was looking at the website of a foursquare church over there, and they had an online prayer request form, so i filled it out, asking them to pray for our home and employment status. =) i figured, it'd be nice to have people praying on both sides of the state. or, at the very least, it will give me more peace. =)
well i should shower up and hit the hay. tomorrow is going to be a super busy day. i haven't had time to wrap up the last event, and now i've got to jump right in to the next one!!! argh. i hate that.
well, good night neverland.
