Hi everyone. I made it home from Europe safely and am settled in Madison. Tippy and Julia have asked for a LJ update so here it is (and it will be quick).
Europe was amazing. I was ready to come home after 3 weeks but also wanted to stay. My family traveled to: Rome, Florence, Venice, Cinque Terre, Zermatt and Luzern in Switzerland, Salzburg, and Vienna. Traveling home after the British plane debaucle was ok - they hand searched carry-ons in Paris. I posted *some* of my 900 pictures (as to spare Sam the slides) on Facebook so check them out.
I arrived in Madison by plane just 2 days after getting home from Europe. Molly and her dad picked me up at the airport and her dad left 2 days later. We finally got everything set up in the apartment and I'll post some pics of it on Facebook soon. I had a ton of meetings this week, my second week here. I am excited to start school on Monday but also nervous that I haven't had as in-depth of a music education as others here. I guess I'll just have to work harder than others. I teach Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and mostly aural skills (sight singing - think Do Re Mi stuff). I attend their lecture (sophomores) on Tuesday and Thursday. Other than that, I'm taking 3 classes - music history, music theory, and German.
Molly had an interview at the Gap today and also has a manager application out for the YMCA. We hope people will come visit soon - Andrew has already been out and Becky and Devon will soon I imagine. We went mini-golfing last night with Laura Beilman-Dulin.
So life is good. I'm alive and so is Molly. Hope to hear from you all soon!
