Getting ready for my trip
So I don't post often enough. There are several reasons: a) I'm too lazy, and b) Tippy and Julia post everything exciting I have to write about anyway since I've been hanging with them.
Anyway, I'm getting ready for my big moving trip with Molly. I am getting off early tomorrow to pick up our moving truck, a 17' diesel Penske bright yellow fucker. It should vaguely resemble a school bus, so that's good. Molly gets in at 11 pm and my hair should be freshly cut.
We leave on Thursday at 8 am and are heading first to Walla Walla, a brief stop to pick up our stuff in our storage facility. Then it's off to Bozeman for the night. We should get in about 9:30 pm Mountain time.
Friday morning has another 8 am departure south to South Dakota. We are stopping briefly at Mt. Rushmore to see the sights, then on to Murdo, SD. Apparently, this town of 700's claim to fame is that it is in the middle of the state, where the Mountain time zone meets the Central time zone. That's it...
Leaving Saturday from SD, we proceed due east on I-90 through SD, southern Minnesota, and into Wisconsin, arriving in Madison (and our new apartment) at about 4 pm. We'll start to unpack then check out the fireworks spectacular that night.
More unpacking is in store on Sunday, a drive to Chicago on Monday, some free time, then a 5 am flight home on the 4th of July.
