I'm in Cincinnati...
So I arrived here in Cincinnati last evening about 6:15 pm Eastern time. It is now Friday and I've adjusted to the time change, but am tired. I visited Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) today but don't interview until tomorrow.
I had the opportunity to hit up a campus tour this morning. After, I had lunch with 2 Whitman alums going to school here. Then I attended a graduate class and a lecture by a visiting professor from Brown. It was a great day and I've just finished dinner in my room (Chinese - yum!). Tonight: studying and relaxing, tomorrow comes early.
For Saturday, I have a test at 8 am. If I do well, I get to take another test and teach an aspect of music theory. These tests are for an assistantship, so I can get paid to go here. I also have an interview for admission at 10 which I hope goes well - there are only two Masters candidates here this weekend for my program - me and a girl from Georgia.
I leave Sunday morning at 10 am to San Diego. After 5 hours, I'll arrive to about 60 degrees, warmer than 8 which it will be tomorrow night. Then another 2.5 hour flight to Portland and the possibility of a 4 hour drive to Portland. That's 12 hours of traveling almost. I can't wait...
