Yesterday, my dad passed out in the shower. I was asleep and heard my mom run through the house and grab the phone, and I immediately leaped out of bed and ran to where she was. He was just laying there and barely breathing. He looked just like he had had another stroke. I almost died, and my brother began beating on the door at that moment. I let him in and my and he checked him out, and after a little while my dad got up and was acting okay. We took him to the doctor and they acted like nothing. See, he got some teeth taken out Monday and was put on medications after that. A day or two later, he got to where he couldn't eat or drink and was sort of drooling. We assumed his teeth were hurting him and kept giving him meds. Yesterday, the doctor gave him a shot of painkiller and anti-biotics and sent us home. My dad then slept the rest of the day. Today, he acted better, but still couldn't really eat, and he was having to spit in a cup. I got a flashlight and looked in his throat, and it is SO swollen that I don't know how he is breathing! He is obviously having an allergic reaction to one of the medications he was given, and that probably caused him to pass out. He is allergic to many medications and goes into anaphylactic shock which almost caused him to die, twice. So, we are going back to the doctor tomorrow to see what the heck is going on.
I swear, I just couldn't handle anything else happening. I almost died yesterday. So thank God he is okay.
