Sleeping at 4:30AM and a new member of the family

May 02, 2009 23:32

Earlier, I slept at 4:30 AM.

A former friend of mine had wanted a conference with my groupmates and I because he 'wanted to fix things'.

Personally, I don't believe the guy with what he said, given his history of just shitting with my friends and I with promises to stop backstabbing another friend, whom he had been tormenting for the past few months.

He admitted his mistakes in the conference.

He told us that now that he has a girlfriend, he didn't want her to get involved with his issues, which made me think: if he had that mindset way, way before he found the girl, what would be the current situation now? Would he still be the person whom many hates because of his attitude problem? Or would he be someone whom everyone knows yet feels comfortable with?

As a former friend of the person, I saw the changes in him. When he and I met, he was a rather excited guy who loved to go to conventions. As time passed by, he was slowly turning into this very despicable person who offended most of the people whom I know in the community. There were no exceptions as to who disliked him. Everyone suddenly had a common ground, which was to hate him.

Now that he had said his piece, he promises to change.

We'll just see what happens...

On other news...

Very old news, but we have a new addition to the household. On the night of  March 27, 2009, our household help called me in my room to show me something. To my surprise, it was a cute kitten. Despite the fact that the poor thing was frightened and was half blind, we took the baby in.

The household help told me that the kitten had been living in the sidewalk for the past few days, and had no mother. My brother confirmed this, saying that he had been hearing the meows of a kitten for some time. It turned out to be this cute little kitten.

We named him 'Maki', because we have this strange tradition of naming our pets after people who are into politics. For instance, our spitz was named 'Toby', from both George W. Bush and Tony Blair because we had Toby during the height of the Iraq War. For Maki, instead of naming him 'Obama', we called him 'Maki' because of McCain.

It was difficult taking care of a kitten at first. Because he was half blind, he could not see where the milk bowl was and kept stepping on it. We had to resort to feeding him with medicine dropper and milk painstakingly, until my sister finally bought a bottle for him. Also, during that time, I was too busy with thesis and cosplay. It was hard to divide my time between those, but I managed to do it.

Now, Maki is sleeping outside with Toby (the two of them are best friends) and has been health ever since. :)
