(no subject)
Hmmm....so it's been awhile. I've been thinking about making an update in here since like the beginning of the semester, but for some reason, I just never did....but here goes... =)
Spring break has finallllly arrived and I could majorly use a week of doing nothing and sleeping as much as possible. This semester has been crazy hectic and definitely very unique. It's been an absolutely amazing semester so far though. It was pretty surreal the first couple weeks of the semester for me...right after my housing petition was finally approved (yay!) when my life just started to rock and everything started clicking for me; it was almost weird that bad things weren't engulfing me every time I turned around. Life started being fun and awesome again. =)
It's definitely a unique situation to be living with your professor. Although I did it for something around two weeks last semester, it's definitely different to be living there 24/7...and suddenly off campus when I was so used to living on campus. It's been amazing though...living off campus is freaking amazing. I highly reccommend it to everyone... =)
Okay, other news in the life of Marissa....I FINALLY figured out my major and loose plans for the rest of my time at UF. I plan on doing the whole music with an outside field thing, the outside field being psychology and hopefully hopefully picking up a double major if I can squeeze it. Psychology really first started interested me last semester when crap was happening and I wanted to understand everything, and it's really freaking cool...I'm taking developmental psych right now and I like it A LOT...so we'll see what happens...maybe something in counseling psychology or something like that? There's plenty of time to figure things like that out.....
I leave tomorrow morning for Pittsburgh!!! Yay for getting to hang with everyone again...it's been waaaay too long..there is way too much to be caught up on...
Sooo...I decided for about five days that I was going to be going to Salzburg this summer with the summer abroad program..It's a six week program and you take studio lessons and music history and go to Venice and just do lots of cool things...but, since I passed all the deadlines for financial aid and scholarships, I'm going to be waiting until next summer to go, but it will be really cool since I've been basicallly nowhere outside of the US... =D
And last, but certainly not least, I will be getting a puppy this summer!! It's probably a really really long story to get into the whys and whats and huhs, but the bottom line is that sometime in May, I will be adopting a daschund puppy! I'm going to get her at the beginning of the summer so I can spend the rest of the summer training her and such!!! I'm sooooo soooo excited!!!
Wow, this has been a pretty hefty update for me...kudos to me (and the very cool person that inspired me to update this...)

Kedogenous: brought about by worry, or anxiety. Useful for excuses.
Example: "I'm awfully sorry darling, but I'm afraid I seem to have another of my kedogenous headaches".
