Wrote this over at mm-bbs, which is now back up, and thought I might as well plop it in here too.

There's a ton of stuff coming out in the next few weeks! There's really something for everyone with releases from Van Tomiko, Dragon Ash, AAA, Shimatani Hitomi, MISIA, HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, Yum! Yum! Orange, Ayaka, Leah Dizon, alan, Suzuki Ami, m.o.v.e., w-inds, Ikimonogakari, Orange Range, Porno Graffiti, YUI, Kamiki Aya, and of course, my beloved Perfume. But here are a few releases that really caught my eye:
Most exciting is misono's fifth single (two were with day after tomorrow) to tie into the Tales of ____ video game series,
"Ninin Sankyaku", the theme for the new Tales of Symphonia game. Fans of the series should definitely check out the
CD+DVD edition, which includes the PV and game version, plus intros from the original Tales of Symphonia, Tales of the Tempest, and other misono Tales goodness! Her
new album "Say" will also be released on July 16th, which will be 15 tracks and will include her Tales songs and more. The
limited edition includes a DVD.
We haven't heard from K since last October, but I'm really excited because he's back in a big way! On June 26th, he'll simultaneously release his new single
"play and pray" and his second DVD
"film K Vol.2 -Music in My Life- ". It seems like those who buy both versions can apply for some kind of special goods. The DVD will include 8 PVs, live clips, a making-of, and offshots. Then on July 16th, he will be featured on the new Avex girls' chorus group BRIGHT's second single,
"Tegami feat. K/One Summer Time". The CD+DVD version includes a performance with K and PVs for both A-sides. If you aren't a fan of K yet, now would be a great time to start :D BRIGHT seem interesting too. Another collaboration to watch out for: mihimaru GT with SOFFet's
"Naki Natsu" and SOFFet with mihimaruGT's
"Suki Natsu".
JYONGRI's had a hit & miss career so far, but nobody can deny the girl's got an amazing voice (and she's pretty damn cute). Her
second album comes out July 2nd, and the
limited edition includes a DVD with 4 PVs, live footage, and more.
It's Shiina Ringo's 10th anniversary and along with reissued stuff, there's a couple of new compilations that are pretty sexy. The
"Watashi to Hoden" 2CD set includes her complete B-sides and some rare tracks, and the
DVD of the same name includes all of her PVs since her debut, plus a new video.
Arashi's new single
"One Love" is the theme for the upcoming Hana Yori Dango movie, and in true Johnny's fashion, has two different editions featuring different tracks. The regular edition will include the b-side "How to fly" and instrumentals, while the
limited edition will include the bonus track "FINAL Remix feat. WISH,Love so sweet & One Love" and a DVD with the single's PV.
And last but not least: This girl idol/rock group started out as Harenchi☆Punch and later became 80★PAN!, but they haven't released anything in nearly a year. They're finally back on the scene, this time as 80_pan. Although they're missing a member now, they recently spent some time in the UK performing and working with Shitdisco and The Pipettes' bassist/songwriter Jon Falcone. They're now back as a
New Rave duo and I'm really excited to see how it'll turn out. I've always found their music pretty interesting, and the new electronic sound seems like it'll be right up my alley. Their new album (more like a mini-album, I was wondering why it was so cheap xD)
"DISCO BABY" will be released July 2nd, and they have a digital single, "I Don't Wanna Go" out today.
