back to the basement
Today the entire school was sent to the basement due to a tornado warning. They crammed nearly everyone into the stinky, dusty, dark maze of rooms before one of the deans came down to tell everyone to head back upstairs.
I have no idea why we were sent to the basement for all of two minutes before being sent back to the classrooms. The sirens and "take shelter immediately" warning continued to blast throughout the school for another ten minutes afterward. Luckily nothing actually struck town but it was an interesting happening on the second day of class.
