DAY ONE: DAY PHASE
DAY ONE
Day Phase.
GENERAL REMINDERS: The day phase (12 hours in game) will last 48 hours IRL. Votes are public, but are not final and can be changed continually until time runs out [9pm EST]. All canon powers are stripped.
TODAY: You open your eyes.
A desolate village.
But before you can dedicate much more time to the scene in front of you a high-pitched squeal fills the area, "--Oh!! Oh my gosh!! Look, look!! They're waking up!!"
The sky overhead flickers into a video feed of a room filled with people. A different--more soothing--voice speaks.
"Hello," the voice is given a face when a young woman enters into the frame "My name is Elizabeth, and I am what you may consider to be your 'moderator'." She gives a soft smile. "We have brought you here today for a reason:" her once calming voice drops to a more sinister tone "to play a game."
The sky changes once more (which you have now deemed to be somewhat like a telescreen looming over the town), but this time to a feed of you with the rest of the town. "Do not worry, you will not be hurt. If you win."
The feed zooms in faces filled with disgust and horror before flickering back to the room filled with people. "The rules of this game are quite simple: Have you ever played a game called Mafia?" Elizabeth proceeds to explain the rules accompanied with a visual representation of the game taking place on the telescreen.
"--oh, and before I forget. Not only will you be playing a game of Mafia, but you will be living it, too. If you choose to lynch someone they will be lynched, and if you are targeted by the mafia you will be killed." She laughs. "Do not bother trying to escape, that will only result in death."
Elizabeth delivers one last warm smile. "Have fun. I know we will."
And with that, the sky returns back to normal.
