Personality: On the surface, MOMO is very much what you'd expect out of an ordinary twelve-year-old girl. She's bright, cheerful, always willing to help, and cares very deeply for her friends and family. Loving is one of the first words you'd use to describe her, and it's an extremely accurate one to boot. Having the mindset of a twelve-year-old also leads to her being rather naive and curious about things, a child always eager to learn about what's around her and one always willing to see the best in people. You'd be hard-pressed to find something about her that would differentiate her from any other girl her age.

Of course, that's where most of the similarities stop. Being a Realian i.e. an artificial human can cause someone to have severe doubts about themselves, and it's no different when it comes to MOMO. She lives in a world where the basic rights of Realians were only established relatively recently, and while the people around her are exceedingly kind to her, she is constantly challenged by the fact that she is not actually human: she was created, artificially made, and even her personality is just a program that can be deactivated. Being unsure of herself was like her second nature, and it wasn't at all helped by the fact that she was made to look exactly like her creator's dead daughter. More than anything MOMO wants to be recognized and loved for who she is, but for a long time this a difficult thing as her "mother" could see her as nothing more than a failed replacement for her deceased daughter. As a child, this understandably caused MOMO great stress.

Not only that, but her "father" i.e. creator was seen by the world as nothing more than a mad scientist who brought about mankind's greatest enemy. As a result, she feels conflicted on what to believe: the father of whom she only had warm memories of, or society that more or less hated him. While she tries to hide her own thoughts on it so as not to trouble others, she's very insecure about herself and her so-called family. To fix this, MOMO does her best to be as kind and considerate as she possibly can--it's not necessarily a conscious choice, but her desire to be loved drives her to be kind, the action she considers to be the one that will lead to her being loved the easiest. While it could be considered to be a selfish choice, it is also nonetheless an inherent part of her personality. By the time her mother comes to accept her for who she is, and thus eliminating her primary source of insecurity, it could be said then that her kindness is indeed just a part of her as she continues to be nothing but caring.

However, as nice as she is, MOMO will absolutely not tolerate harm coming to her friends or other people. She will always do her best to help defend or care for the injured. If necessary, she won't hesitate to kill an enemy if it means protecting the people she cares about. It's not something she's proud to do, but if it's to protect her loved ones then there's no other choice. That's not to say that she holds grudges against those who harm her or others though--on the contrary, she's incredibly forgiving, much more than anyone would expect even with how kind she is. Despite the fact that Albedo kidnapped her and invaded her mind with nothing but the cruelest intentions, after coming to somewhat understand him and his relationship with Jr., she looks forward to meeting him again one day and asks Jr. to say hi to him for her. While having faced more trials than any twelve-year-old ever should have, MOMO continues to remain optimistic and bright, a confident young woman rather than a scared little girl.

Powers & Abilities: As an observational Realian, MOMO is built in with numerous sensors that allow her to observe and analyze information around her. She can perform complex tasks ranging from analyzing a person's genetic makeup to the contents of the atmosphere she's in. Like the rest of the 100-Series, she's also equipped with the Hilbert Effect, though hers is a bit stronger than the standard models, and can therefore bring anything (namely the Gnosis) from Imaginary Space into their plane of existence, thus rendering them physical and able to be defeated and whatnot. Due to the nature of her being, it isn't too surprising that she's also very good with computers and is perfectly capable of piloting space crafts, her mech unit, and even regular cars. In fact, by the end of the game, she's charged with the task of reconstructing a new universal network.

MOMO is also capable of using Ether, that being Xenosaga's equivalent of functional magic, and can use it along with nanomachines to heal, boost, buffer, etc. herself or someone else. She uses an Ether Bow in combat which is more or less your typical bow and arrow but with Ether enhancements such as being capable of shooting ice arrows. Due to Ziggy's teaching, she's also quite the physical fighter. While MOMO is obviously not the first choice one would think of in a hand-to-hand fighter, she packs quite the punch. As she says so herself, she's "built pretty tough!"

Lastly, like all residents of the Xenosaga universe, MOMO is able to use the U.M.N. It serves as an informational network that spans across the entire universe; for a rough equivalent, think of it as the internet in the far future. The U.M.N. serves many purposes in what is considered to be their everyday life, from looking up the news to searching for information to making faster-than-light speed travel possible. Due to its true nature, it is also capable of storing physical objects as information that can be summoned back out. This is how most people, including MOMO, store many belongings such as weapons as they can be unwieldy and impractical to carry. Specifically, she stores her Ether Bow and mech unit E.S. Zebulun in it.

What items will they be bringing with them to Discedo? • her clothes
• her own communication device (that obviously won't work in the setting for that, but she'll use it to store information)
• assuming she can establish a limited connection to the U.M.N. after getting her chip out, she'll be able to summon back her Ether Bow, but that's neither here nor there to be honest...

Posting Samples
Third-Person Sample: "I just don't understand... this doesn't make any sense." MOMO had absolutely no idea what to expect after being trapped in the space pocket--quite frankly, even interdimensional space travel wouldn't have surprised her too much--but this... this was a bit too much, even for her.

Her sensors didn't appear to be damaged, but for whatever reason, she couldn't get a reading on any of her surroundings. It was lucky that the atmosphere was breathable then, though nonetheless unnerving. In fact, it wasn't so much that her sensors weren't damaged as much as they didn't seem to be active at all. No matter what she tried, she couldn't get them to activate at all. Not even her Ether Drive was working; again, she could only be grateful that she wasn't injured to begin with. These things wouldn't have been nearly as worrying as it was if it wasn't for another single fact though.

Establishing a connection with the U.M.N. was currently impossible.

Checking the location, date, time--she couldn't even figure out what part of the universe she was in. No communication, no way to detect any hostile life forms, and absolutely no one here with her. At least with her friends it was easier to reassure herself that they'd find a solution to whatever their problem was, but alone that was much, much harder. She hadn't felt this scared and unsure in a long while. It was like she was as useless as back when Ziggy had first saved her, but even more so. Back then she could alert Ziggy as to when an enemy was right around the corner, but now she was stuck to hiding in some rundown looking shelter as she tried to look out for potential threats.

Looking at the new, if somewhat outdated-looking, device in her hands though, MOMO knew this was no time to be fretting. If she had been informed to use it, then it must have some purpose. With no other leads, this was the only possible option to take, right? Even if it was a stranger, it would have been nice to hear another person's voice too.

Gulping any nervousness she had and steadying herself, MOMO turned on the device with a click.

First-Person Sample: Oh wow, even if the condition isn't all that great, I can't believe there are so many books... Hehe, it's too bad Jr. isn't here. I'm sure he'd love this at least. [With a quiet pat, MOMO set down the book she was flipping through on a table. It was hard to believe she was so far in the past, back when the U.M.N. or Vector Industries hadn't been established. At the same time though, it was actually pretty exciting!]

I've never heard of these places before, not even in history files or texts. I'm pretty sure Earth is Lost Jerusalem at least, but Fortuna? It sounds more like a dead language then a planet... Maybe this is just a planet that hasn't been discovered yet, though that seems a bit hard to believe.

[And as nice as an actual library was, hearing from people who actually lived through the times when Lost Jerusalem was called Earth sounded far more interesting. She turned the communicator on and greeted it with a cheerful, if somewhat shy, smile.] Um, hello everyone! I was just wondering if anyone would be willing to tell me what their home is like. Everything is so different from my own home, but I only heard about these kinds of things in old history archives, so it'd be really neat to hear about! Thank you for your time.
