Last week was awesome...
It was the best week of the year so far, really!
1.The giants actually won the Superbowl and I got to gloat like crazy since basically everyone I knew was betting on the Patriots. XD
2. Mom had some vacation time so we got to do various things in the city that we haven't had time for.
3. We finally cleaned out some of the junk in our house, so the back rooms look quite a bit nicer.
4. The weekend was by far the best part. On Saturday we went to see the NTD's Chinese New Year Splendor show, which I HIGHLY recommend for everyone to go see next year. It's an all ages show, and it's bilingual (Chinese and English) so everyone can understand what's happening. Honestly, I couldn't properly describe it to you if I tried. I teared up 3 or 4 times is was soooo beautiful.
5. On Sunday, we went to see Avenue Q. Knowing almost all the songs beforehand made it even better. XD I was quietly singing along through the whole thing. We laughed ourselves stupid by the time we got to "The Internet is for Porn." After that, we headed to Dave & Buster's to watch the Pro bowl and I got to do some quality DDR. (It's never quite as fun in my house. =P) The only sour note to that day, was the fact that I'd apparently danced a bit too much. My rear was killing me all the way home, and the train re-routes made the trip back an hour longer. But it was all good by the time we got home.
Of course, there had to be a little annoyance to balance all that goodness out some. Now that winter's really kicking in, the mice and roaches are starting to show up in full force, but we've got the traps and Lysol ready and waiting for them. Time to kick some insect and rodent butt. >=D
Aside from that, hopefully things will continue to be this nice as the year goes on. *knocks on wood*
