Yay, holidays!
I've really gotten into the holiday spirit! Can't wait to put up the lights and get all the cards sent. ^_^
In life news, jewelry class is going quite well. Finished the blank ring and now I've moved into a turtle pendant! I've really got a good grasp of sawing, filing, sanding, and polishing, and now we get to add soldering, pickling, and shaping to the mix. Gotta say, I didn't think I would have so much fun doing all this due to my track record with those types of machinery, but it's not that hard to grasp.
Not so good news, it seems mom broke her toe. Or at least really sprained it. I did a McGuyver job and used some ace bandage and duct tape to stabilize it when she came home from work a couple days ago, so it would hold until she could properly tape it. Seems to be okay now, at least.
I've been somewhat torn between wanting it to snow and wanting it to be warm again. I used to be upstate so I'm accustomed to white Christmases, but at the same time the cold is driving me nuts. All we seem to be getting is rain, I want some snow so I can go out and revel in it...and then complain about it. Is that to much to ask nature?
