This is so cute! I know what you mean about wanting her now she's not there, but it sounds like you're doing the right thing.
It sounds a bit juvenile but when I have a problem with Colin, I write down a list of points I want to make and then I talk to him about each one. Then after a while I'll go back to the list and make sure he's done the things he promised. It sounds a bit childish but it really does work. He doesn't do this with me though, he just says nothing until he gets really annoyed with something I'm doing and then it all pours out randomly in the middle of an argument abut something else, and it's only then I realise it's been eating away at him.
Funnily enough, the thing that annoys Colin so much is my lack of responsibility! I'm only 21 and he's 45 so he's pretty much adapted to adulthood and I'm still learning what it's all about. He loses patience with me sometimes but then realises why I am how I am. Similarly, I forget that he's older and hasn't got as much stamina as me sometimes!
Things will sort themselves out if you just carry on talking about the problems you have and not bottle them up :)
Thats a really good idea, and my girlfriend does the same thing. She never tells me when shes mad. And thats awesome that even though you guys have an age gap that you can still understand each other and make things work out. We plan on getting married around age 22/22 also :). Gay marrige is legal in NY where we are so hopefully it stays that way no matter who gets elected.
I can't see them changing a law like that. If they did though, you could go on a fun road trip to find somewhere legal. That would be awesome! Gay marriage is now legal everywhere here in the UK. A bit late if you ask me, but progress is progress is suppose!

We've only been together a year and a half but we've come so far and both changed so much. You know when you just know it's right? We're getting married in 3 weeks and I can't wait to become his wife!
