So I live about a half hour away from Bethel Woods, where Woodstock '69 took place. I am a HUGE fan of it, and always feel really left out because I was not born in the right generation. I';m not one of those 90's kids thats like "Omigosh I wear peace signs and think I'm soo cool." Seriously, in highschool my friends were my teachers and I have an easier time making friends with people ages 60 and up. So anyway I am obsessed with Woodstock and the hippie counterculture. Yesterday I went to the museum at Bethel Woods which is a musuem that preserves the history of Woodstock and the counterculture. I went because one of my biggest heros, Michael Lang, was doing a book signing there. He was the co creator of Woodstock, and the whole thing was his idea. When he created it he was only in his early twenties. Imagine being responsible for something so historic at such a young age? Half a million people all came to one place for those 3 days and were peaceful. Around where I live many of those people are still around and still live as if it were still the 60s.
So anyway when I met him I was  a wreck. I've met famous people before and I wasn't so nervous like I was. I gave hime a wet noodle handshake and basically had a serial killer smile the hwole time. I got to talk to him twice (I got back on line to meet him like a creep). And both times I was like "DURRR!" But I couldn't believe I was meeting the man responsible for Woodstock. It really inspired me to follow a lot of dreams that I always considered to be just dreams.

In other news, I'm still applying for jobs like a mad man. I'm hoping to get a hostess job at Red Lobster or Olive Garden. My friend has worked at both for years and i can use him as a reference so I hope I can get the job because I really really really need to move out.
