Riani on Manga Bullet is an awesome person. She made a journal giving away some of her anime/manga, for FREE. No costs, not even shipping and handling. Awesome huh? That's right! I completely thought so to!
So I had to do something to pay it forward! So I offered to draw her something of her choosing. Well, she chose Ciel from Kuroshitsuji. I'm only slightly familiar with this series, so I had to use a reference.
This is a WIP, and not quite done yet, but I want to get it right. =3
Feel free to read on, but it's mostly about the drawing.
I started off with the pose, which is kinda weird? Next comes the actual body, which I draw nude so I can formulate how clothes fall onto the body. You know, like how they crease and stuff.
I add the facial features next, then I add the hair, as the hair covers the eyes most of the time.
The clothes are usually the very last. I'm still trying to figure out some of the clothing for him. Ciels' from a Victorian era, so that means a lot of lace and ribbons, silks, velvets, and other elegant fashions like such.
I'm very fond of silks, laces, and ribbons, so I've added quite a bit to the picture. It's not too unusual for Ciel, as he has cross-dressed in both the animanga and most people draw him cross-dressing any how.
I actually plan on drawing all of the lace and ribbons myself. Which is actually really difficult. So this picture will probably take awhile. Not to mention that I have to color it too. I'm horrible at coloring and next to color blind! My sense of color stinks! *guuuuh*
I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the bottom half of the shirt. *guuuuh* I'll figure it out. *guuuuh* I hope.
