Labor Day Weekend Update

So this weekend started off when Chase, Alicia and myself missed classes on friday (I cant believe I did it already) and took a shuttle to Phoenix where we hung out for a while, met Alicias parents and hung out at the mall, then took another shuttle down to Tucson, we checked into the hotel then had a fabulous (haha) dinner at IHOP, went back to the hotel room with Chase, and Alicia went out to hang out with Alex (a friend that we made up here that lives in Sechrist) and we went to bed. The next day we realized that we only had 2 tickets to the football game (the whole reason we went down to Tucson) so Alicia was super cool and took a shuttle up to Phoenix to go to a foam party with some friends at a club, so Chase and I left the hotel around 5 and went to the game. It was my first college football game, and it was soo much fun! I never thought movies like Drumline were based on actuall college occasions, but it was huge, there were fireworks, a huge marchingband that did all these really cool combinations and it was just huge. It was so warm and humid down there, and the moment the game started, it began to rain, it was so amazing. The game was pretty close, but then we lost 21-3 cause our quarterback was throwing too hard. There were a lot of parties that night, but Chase and I just went back to the room and went to sleep cause we were to drained. The next day we drove back up, hung out in the Phoenix airport waiting for our shuttle, then slept on the way home.

We watched Taking Lives last night, but didnt finish it, so we returned it and got some movies for tonight, but when I got back down to McConnell there were a lot of kids hanging out outside so I hung out with a guy named Mekena, hes from Alaska, and he sliced his finger open really bad when he was trying to shotgun a beer (cause he was already super drunk, and he cut himself with a knife) I spent the next 2 hours with him convincing him not to give himself stitches or take more shots....all in all a good weekend....
