Student Council Nominations!
I'm pretty sure most of you already know what the Student Council is and does, but for those of you who don't; The Student Council is 'a representative structure for students only, through which they can become involved in the affairs of the school, working in partnership with school management, staff and parents for the benefit of the school and its students.'
This year there are 6 positions students can run for. They are...
♥ President ~ The leader of the pack, basically! The Student Council president is the main decider when it comes to school issues and events brought up by the Student Council. The president may be a student from any grade.
♥ Vice-President ~ The VP is second-in-command. The president's right-hand man. If the president were to ever to have to resign for whatever reason, the VP would take his or her place. The vice-president may be a student from any grade.
♥ Freshman Representative ~ A freshman student whose job will be to represent his or her grade specifically in the Student Council.
♥ Sophomore Representative ~ A sophomore student whose job will be to represent his or her grade specifically in the Student Council.
♥ Junior Representative ~ A junior student whose job will be to represent his or her grade specifically in the Student Council.
♥ Senior Representative ~ A senior student whose job will be to represent his or her grade specifically in the Student Council.
There are a few rules, regarding nominations:
- Only students may nominate candidates.
- Only students may be nominated. Please do not nominate any teachers or other faculty.
- Please only nominate students you think would be committed to their job. Last year we had an unfortunate amount of inactive members in the Student Council.
- You may nominate yourself!
