[Hinamori sits in the garden as the shadows lengthen, a pile of pulled-up weeds on the ground at her feet and some seeds in little containers (pretty much anything she could find that would hold seeds without spilling) next to her as she sits on the porch looking over the garden. She looks tired, but in a ( Read more... )

[Have a very interested Sango and a vaguely bored Kirara.]

What are you going to plant?

Well, a lot of the same things I had last year, like beans and tomatoes and so forth, but I've also found some new things, including what I hope are strawberry seeds and the start of some fruit trees!

I do hope so. Of course, sometimes this place throw things at us normal gardens certainly aren't supposed to go through, so, heh.

Definitely.

It would be a pity to see all that care go to waste.

Yes... last year it survived a muffin-hailstorm and a lot of neglect and still did pretty well, in the end.

And even some of the things that did, I suppose, 'go to waste' last year, like the tomatoes and things that got too ripe to eat, they've come back, sort of.

Ah, yes, it was... a funny Animus thing, I think. There was a whole week where food was falling out of the sky, apparently, but they did it again after I started the garden last year.

Plants don't take kindly to the sort of treatment... But lots of people helped me save the garden, so it was okay, in the end.

I guess that was a week where no one had to live off the land for their food.

It definitely was... except you couldn't save any of it, which was really too bad. It would have been useful.

Fruit generally keeps alright. Did it disappear at the end or something?

I'm sure we would have figured something out for the rest of it too, but unfortunately that's exactly right--it all disappeared at the end of the day.
