Case 4, Day 1 (Part 2)

Location:  Seoul General Hospital, Car park
Time:0825 hours

“By the way, mind explaining why we aren’t bringing Su along? It was awkward trying to answer him just now, luckily Chun save us.” Changmin question, when the question pops up in his mind while putting on his seat belt.

“I know this is gonna sound weird but I think Su have some feelings for Chun.” Yunho replied, gaining a surprise look from Changmin instantly.

“Are you serious? Isn’t he, Jae’s fanboy? It’s not a surprise if you say he like Jae but Yoochun, now that’s a twist.” Changmin exclaimed, eyes on Yunho.

“Let’s me explain what happen & then tell me your say in these.” Yunho started, earning a nod from  Changmin.

~~Flashback~~

The coldness of the surrounding woke Yunho up from his sleep, looking around he realise that Changmin was gone which explained the rise of temperature around him because he shared the sofa with Changmin.

A string of faint words was soon heard causing Yunho to slowly approach the source which was Junsu whose was still deep in dreamland.

“Chun..don’t leave me..You’re important to me..” Junsu’s continues faint murmuring sounded clearer as Yunho got himself closer to the other.

Yunho almost didn’t believe what he heard, but most importantly why’s the other calling out their leader in his sleep.

~~End~~

“Alright, that’s definitely weird. I guess, Su definitely has some hidden feeling towards Yoochun.” Changmin commented, agreeing with Yunho’s conclusion.

Yunho nodded before decided to increase the speed so they could arrive faster.

Location:  Seoul Prestigious High School
Time:0850 hours

“Yunho, over here.” A familiar voice called out, alerting the duo the moment they arrive at the teacher’s lounge hallway.

“Chul, what’s going on?” Yunho questioned their classmate after running towards them.

“The police are investigating right now so the teacher lounge is currently out of bound for us. We can’t even get near to take a peek after the police arrived, they totally blocked the surrounding. If you guys come earlier, you might be able to take a peek.”  Heechul informed, feeling a bit regretful of his classmates that arrived late.

“We should get going to class, the first period’s gonna start soon.” Eunhyuk, their other classmate suggest, earning a nod from Heechul.

“You guys go ahead, we left our bags in my car.” Changmin reasoned, so that they both will be left alone.

“Alright, don’t be too late.” Heechul reminded before running off to their classroom with Eunhyuk.

“Let’s head over to the scene now.” Changmin suggest once their friends are out of sight.

Upon arriving, they saw two police officers guarding the lounge’s entrance causing it to be more difficult to gain access into the crime scene.

“It’s seems like the crime scene’s empty but we still need to pass through those guys.” Yunho whispered, observing the empty teacher’s lounge.

“I guess, we have no choice but to ask permission directly. We can’t possibly break pass them & attract attention towards us. It’s way too risky.” Changmin replied, causing Yunho to nod before they approach the officers.

‘Excuse me but we’re from Seoul International Undercover Team, Elite Division. May we have a look at the scene?”  Yunho introduce themselves before asking politely.

“Who’re you kidding? You guys are just normal students, now get away from here.” One of the officers snorted at them before shooing them away causing the other to laugh.

“We’re not joking. Here, this’d proof.” Changmin replied, feeling irritate by the way they’re being treated causing him to quickly pull out his pass.

Yunho also pulled out his pass causing the officers’ eyes to open wide open, shocked to see the duo’s authority pass. They might even lose their jobs if they don’t listen well to the duo’s orders or needs.

“This’s fake, right?” The officer that was laughing just now commented before trying to laugh it off but totally fail.

“So, still not letting them in?” Leetuek’s voice was heard, appearing right behind the duo with Yesung.

“Chief..” The two officers quickly exclaimed, looking so nervous.

“You don’t want to lose your jobs, right?” Yesung commented, causing the two officers to quickly open the door & let the duo’s in.

“If I see the both of you acting like that towards them, you’re fired instantly. Understand?” Leetuek warned before entering with Yesung trailing behind him.

“Hyung, you shouldn’t scare them like that.” Yunho commented, the moment he thinks the two officers were out of earshot.

“They deserve it, they should known better on how to treat people from SIUT especially the elite division. They can even lose their job with just a word from you guys.” Leetuek replied, smiling at the duo.

“I guess we’re too young for them to take us seriously. After all they don’t even know who the five members in the elite division are.” Changmin commented, eyes looking around.

“I guess so but still they shouldn’t treat you guys lightly even though they don’t know what they’re expecting from you guys.” Yesung replied, earning a nod of agreement from the duo & Leetuek.

“It seems that the crime scene’s relatively clean excluding the puddle of blood, everything seems to be in place.” Changmin commented after looking around, being in the teacher’s lounge for a few time makes him rather familiar with the surrounding.

“Yes, it’s rather surprising that the crime scene’s rather clean. It’s like everything was planned rather carefully.” Leetuek said, flipping through the case file.

“How about fingerprints or DNA? Did you find any near the body?” Yunho questioned.

“Sadly, we can’t check on the fingerprints cause of the amount of people going in & out of this lounge. It’s impossible to point out which belongs to the murderer especially with no fingerprint founded on the body. For DNA, we found strands of hair on a scarf that was found rather near the body. The result matches Son Yejin DNA.” Leetuek explained, reading from the case file before passing to Yunho upon seeing the duo’s shocked expression

“So there’s a possibility the scarf’s the murder weapon?” Yunho questioned, eyes on the file.

“There’s a possibility but we can’t confirm it because we didn’t find the victim’s DNA on it. “ Yesung replied.

“Now, that’s definitely weird. Even if the scarf’s the murder weapon, it’s too thin to kill a well build man. It’s just didn’t make sense especially if he’s strangle to death but got a pool of blood around his body.” Changmin commented, upon looking at the photo of the scarf.

“There’s definitely more to this, a petite size person like Miss Lee definitely can’t strangle a well build & taekwondo expert like MrYoo.” Yunho commented earning an agreement nod from the others.

“Why don’t you guys really take a look around & see if you can figure anything out while I go & get the autopsy report with Yesung since it’s out now.” Leetuek suggested, which was agreeing by the duo.

“Don’t worry, those two will be out there to guard.” Yesung reassured before exiting with Leetuek.

Changmin headed to the corner where the pool of blood was located while Yunho search the opposite end of the lounge where the teachers’ desks located. Changmin wanted to see if the police might have misses any evidence that are not too visible.

After a while, Changmin spotted something shiny under one of the documents drawer that was the nearest to the body.

“Yun, check this out.” Changmin called out upon picking up the item from under the drawer.

“A lighter? Is Mr Yoo a smoker?” Yunho questioned, taking the lighter from the other to have a closer look.

“I’m not sure, we’ll have to find that out but if he’s not the owner that could only mean it belong to the killer.” Changmin exclaimed before bending down to see under the same drawer if there’s any other evidence left.

“Min, look. A symbol.” Yunho informed, gaining Changmin’s attention in an instant.

“Somehow this looks familiar to me but I’m not sure.” Changmin thought to himself, staring at Yunho whose was trying his best to guess the symbol’s meaning.

“Yun, why don’t you run a check later, it’s much easier than guessing. A pentagon with an ‘x’ in the middle, even I don’t have any idea on what it’s.” Changmin suggested causing Yunho to nod & quickly snapped a picture of the symbol with his iphone.

“How about we try to figure out the murder route? Isn’t it weird that the last person to enter this lounge’s the victim himself? How does the killer enter since the only access to this lounge’s the finger print automated door. All the windows in here are glass panels. There’s definitely no way to enter from the windows.” Changmin exclaimed, reading the information from the case file before going to check the machine at the entrance.

“Maybe the victim enters with someone he knows, that could be the reason why the police suspected Miss Son in the first place. “ Yunho said, checking the hidden area to see if there’s any other entrance that can be use to access the teacher’s lounge.

“Even if Miss Son’s the killer, just like you say she can’t possibly have the strength to fight with a taekwondo ace. What’s more, when the teachers arrive this morning the finger print system was shut down. How did he or she manage to escape out of here & shut down the system?” Changmin questioned, causing the other to think deep.

“It seems like this killer knows the surrounding very well which explains the indifferent in this lounge. Even if things got out of place, he or she could arrange it back to where it’s originally. In other words, the killer’s someone from this lounge, the teachers.” Yunho said, looking at the other with confidence on his face.

“That’s true; it also shows that this killer might have planned everything beforehand which explains the perfect murder. This’s gonna be more tough than I thought.” Changmin exclaimed before seating beside Yunho who’s busy writing at one of the desk.

“How did the investigation go?” Leetuek’s voice was soon heard, appearing at the door with Yesung beside him.

“Well, not much stuff but we found this under the nearest drawer to the pool of blood.” Yunho replied, handing the lighter to Yesung who gladly accept it after wearing his glove & pulling out an evidence bag.

“Alright now based on the autopsy report, there’s no visible bruise that shows the victim struggle upon the attack. We discover a very thin cut around his neck, like he’s being strangle on his neck with a thin wire which explain why our victim’s neck nerve burst. It could be the killer decides to strangle him with a thin wire causing a deep cut around his neck & instantly he bleed to death.” Leetuek explained before passing the report to duo so they could have a look at the picture of the cut.

“Very thin indeed, almost invisible.” Yunho commented, while Changmin’s still examine the picture.

“In order to inflict a deep cut like this, the killer will need great strength to cause great pressure & based on the clean cut, it’s obvious that’s not an amateur work. The killer’s someone who’s a pro & good in this.” Changmin commented, earning agreement from the other three.

“We’ll need to search up on those whose matches our killer traits. Here we already wrote it down in this list.” Yunho said, passing the note to Leetuek.

“From what we analysis just now, we believe that the killer’s someone in this lounge so do check on the teachers that matches those traits.” Changmin explained, earning a nod from the two officers.

“We need to get going now before our friends became suspicious of our disappearance; it’s been quite some time. We’ll contact you if we discover anything.” Yunho said before excusing himself & Changmin out of the room.

“Why do we still need to attend class? Let’s just go to the hospital.” Changmin complained once they’re out of earshot.

“Stop complaining, we can’t escape this time. Let’s just go.” Yunho said, pushing the unwilling Changmin towards their classroom.
