So, I went away with my family for a while, and had no internet to update HAPPY THINGS! So, here is one collective happy thing for the whole time I was away, and then I will continue...
I am well into In the Land of Invisible Women by Qanta Ahmed. It is a western Muslim woman's memoir of her year working as the only female physician in a government hospital in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. It's excellent and it's been a long time since I've been really into a book! Hooray.
Anyway, now I'm home until January 10th or 11th when I'll leave for Florida. I want to see friends! I have a tendency to shut down and get insecure and depressed when I'm in New Jersey which makes me unable to contact people about get-togethers and feel extra bad when people get together without me. I'm sorry everyone! I want to see you! A lot! Please get in touch with me.
I do not have any definite plans for New Years. Does anyone?
