So Weird...
I've been watching this documentary on the media during the Great Depression -- you know, the movies, radio, photography -- and it just occurred to me that FDR might never have been elected if they televised presidential campaigns. It's amazing to think about. I mean, he wasn't a very attractive man, but he was certainly one of the greatest presidents that our nation has ever seen. And yet today, people poke fun at John Kerry for his "old man in the mountain" look. It's so strange.
