Friday Five
A friend on IJ is doing this, so I thought I'd do them this time:
1. Do you celebrate winter type holidays? If yes, which one(s)
I celebrate Yule and New Years Day. Christmas is just a day at home for us, though I had to spend some of it alone with the dog - like every day, so no big deal - because my husband went back to the ASS end of nowhere (that would be eastern Kentucky). For New Years, we'll have sparkling juice, probably do a shrimp boil, and stay the hell off the roads, lol. Oh, and watch the Rose Parade.
2. Did this year's festivities turn out better, worse or just the way you planned?
Our combination Yule/Full Moon party and ritual this year turned out great! We had eleven people, all mostly from our new circle, and the love and harmony just flowed! (And no negative people who came with three kids in tow and did not bring a single food item to share at the potluck like last year - that's the couple I'm no longer working with in our local pagan community)
3. Were you a good girl or boy this year?
I'm always good except when it comes to, er, portion control. My dark side...
4. Was Santa good to you?
Hmm? We didn't have money for anything substantial in the way of presents. I'm happy with my pistachios and socks. *shrug* It's not about that kinda stuff for us. My biggest present was getting to spend 5 1/2 days with my husband. Even if I was sick the whole time.
5. Did you have to take anything back for exchange or cash refund?
I got the exact kind of socks for my husband that he likes and he got the exact type of socks for me that I like. So, heh, no.
