Did all I could but...
This damn cold virus is getting me after all. Have taken massive doses of Echinacea (my usual quick virus-fix), two doses of Airborne, juice, water... turned up the heat... slept more than usual...
I can feel it moving from my throat down into my chest, though I'm not coughing up gunk yet. One sinus plugged, the other completely clear. I don't feel like doing ANYTHING and I've got cards to get out, a house to decorate, baking to do. Ugh.
I should have de-germed the house better after Gary went back to Kentucky (taking his cold with him). I wish I hadn't had to sit in Tammy's cold house for four hours Sunday afternoon. I was CHILLED, couldn't get warm after that for a long time.
At least I can't give this to my darling dog. She's sleeping on the other side of the bed from me nights now, doesn't move a muscle though I'm up several times a night. This morning she came over to me when I was getting up and we actually cuddled, her tucked against my side on her back, me rubbing her belly and stroking her neck. Small comfort for not getting to even touch my germy husband last weekend, but it's something. She's been a precious companion and has so helped the loneliness.
Supposed to have people over this coming Sunday for Yule... damn, and I don't want to be sick for that... Ugh. (and no, it's not that cold outside here)
