work.
today was the first day opening by myself. sort of a surprise. i was just sort of going with it. unlocked, turned on lights, dusted, etc. then i went to turn on the register/computer and both were full of error messages. i had no idea what to do. i wanted to treat it like a normal computer, but since its a cash register with no keyboard i was sure anything i did would make it explode. once i got that figured out things went pretty smoothly. today has been my busiest day yet. its good to be busy... sold stuff and unpacked boxes/recieve orders. it was like x-mas unwrapping all of these really expensive liz soto purses. then i had to put them all back in the box to be prices...and the dream was over. i only had one other flip out moment. some one's total was $5.35 and they paid me with at a $20 and i typed in $2000 (left out the decimal) and the recipt printed saying i owed them like $1,994.65 and i was like eh...so i had to figure out how to fix that, which took awhile. there was also a bewildered herd of tourists from alabama who thought we were a museum about hunting. : / poor them.
but now i am just hanging out here. apparently we are part of a "international cheese of the month" club. news to me. but this spanish sheep's cheese is pretty good. cheers.
