Did some winter cleaning with the journal.
If you can see this and find that you are not on my flist anymore and want to get back here again, please leave a comment. I haven't taken out any one because of no more I love yous, just that I wasn't reading all of the journals previously up on my flist and it was getting ridiculous because I took a closer look and saw I knew nothing that was going on with some of you - on any level. It isn't fair to just keep hanging on without reading or sharing something in common, which is the purpose of a flist, isn't it? And some of the journals weren't being updated anyway. What's that thing in one of Blonde Redhead songs? Oh yeah - start again, butterfly. Or maybe that's in a Calla song...heck, I'm confusing even myself. :/
I also chucked a whole lot of communities off of my flist because they are full of fan girls, who, in turn, are full of sound and fury - signifying nothing. So yeah.
Today was a funny day. Some relatives showed up on our doorstep [a family of 28 o_O] and they stayed for lunch and dinner. They had children with them who cried up a storm and hung from the curtains in the sitting room. They also terrorized my parrots, which are now suffering fom great emotional trauma. These people ate like theyhad previously been victims of a famine and left without saying thank you.
I think that was rude of them. A simple nice word can have a snowball effect and brighten up the day for a whole lot of people. I know this to be the truth because when I say 'good morning!' to the old fellow who cleans the students' common room at university, he tips his hat to me and passes on the cheer and people are generally nicer for it all throughout the day in the department.
Oh well.
