I'm convinced that our animals can sense when everyone or most everyone is gone. I finish the noon calf feeding, come in quick to grab a few things before heading out to haul water and...rrriiinnnggggg. It is Graham and someone just stopped in at Stefan's place up the driveway and our horses are out on the road. Thankfully the truck went back to where the horses were and started moving them in. I took the quad up to the barn, grabbed a couple halters and lead ropes and drove along the highway to the end of our pasture. There was only one out when I got up there. The horses are used to the quad so it wasn't long until the paint(yeah, he doesn't have a name yet) came over and I slipped a rope over his neck and led him back in to the pasture. Apparently, they pushed the gate down somehow and were enjoying their freedom even though they have a big pasture. :P I thanked the guy for helping and he said this happens when you have animals and the same thing has happened to him before. Yay for country people who understand and help! :D
