xD I know. But I'm wary, and I think it's best that there's some physical evidence left behind of my death. Maybe ask a family for a copy of my death certificate; they'd certainly do it for you.

I don't think there's any kind of obligation to publish obituaries. There're some things about the executor or administrator of a person's will having to advertise in the papers, but that's for the sake of looking for potential beneficiaries under the will and potential creditors who can claim against the estate.

My family never published obituaries, anyway. >>

I suspected as much; I'm sure mine wouldn't either, as they've always been very private and know that I would like to be, as well. It's not like anyone who reads it will know who I am, anyway - and even if they did, they'd already know from my family members.
