The Reformed Vampire Support Group
by Catherine Jinks
362 pages
Vampires have super human strength and are sexy, aren’t they? Well, no, not in this book. These vampires are ill and resort to fanging guinea pigs to get their supply of blood because they are reformed vampires and do not fang human beings. They don’t want to spread the disease. This is why they have a support group. It’s not easy being a vampire and not acting on your instincts. These vampires don’t have much of a “life”.
Nina is a 15 year old vampire...well, she has been 15 for MANY years. She is tired of her life as a vampire and she doesn’t enjoy the support group meetings. Things start to get very interesting when one of the group members is killed by a silver bullet. Nina wants to show herself and others that vampires aren’t weak and constantly ill so she bands together with her other vampire friends to try to find the shooter.
This book is written in a humorous tongue-in-cheek manner and is a fun little read. I didn’t *love* it but it was an enjoyable and amusing diversion.
