Tribute to Momofuku Ando
Since I am now officially an unemployed bum, I celebrated the occasion on Saturday by buying a box of Nissin Instant Ramen. I will no doubt be consuming a large quantity of that stuff in the near future.
Little did I know, at that very moment, I was paying tribute to a great man, Mr. Momofuku Ando, the founder of Nissin Food Products Co. and the inventor of instant ramen himself. Mr. Ando died Friday evening at the ripe old age of 96.
Reportedly he ate a ton of the stuff and still lived to be 96, so there might be hope for me yet!
