Wow. I haven't stoped smiling for the past thirty minutes. Why? Because...
I GOT ACCEPTED TO THE ISEP PROGRAM!!!! I'M DEFINITELY GOING!!
You see, even when I was accepted to the international student exchange program (ISEP) a month ago, I still didn't know if they were going to be able to place me because, you see, they have to find someone who wants to leave one of their universities (in other words, they need to find someone to exchange me with).
AND THEY DID! I'm going to the University of Dortmund. Their (free-of-charge) German review course starts on September 10th. Regular classes start on the 15th of October. I'll be there until the end of the semester, which is the end of February.
I cannot begin to tell you how EXCITED I am!! I realized, all this time, I've kind of been holding my breath...waiting to exhale, if you will. I've been applying to all these scholarships on the faith that I'd get in, and now, I'M IN!!! I'M IN I'M IN I'M IN!! (just a little hint at what's been running through my head for the better part of an hour now).
I showed Mr. Coleman my letter...then Mr. Golden, then Dr. Tsolainou...then lots of friends...
Of course...I called my parents first...
I just can't think straight right now...time for choir...
