I didn't finish the PC application process, but it was my understanding at the time (a couple years ago) that a school health center should work just fine. I don't actually know, but I think it'd benefit you more to go there both in costs and in time. I don't know what school you're at, but my university's health center had done several PC physicals and medical packets and knew what to do with them and write up everything as opposed to maybe an independent doctor or facility that hadn't dealt with the packets. It seems like it'd lower your chances of having your stuff sent back later and PC asking for more of something. Plus if you've been going to the student health center for awhile, they will know you some and have your records which I'd think would make it easier.
As long as a doctor is filling it out they don't care where you get it done. I got some tests done (tb i think) from the county and the rest with a local doctor I had never met. The biggest part is making sure the doctor fills out EVERY question....if it is not applicable they need to SAY that, not just skip it and leave it blank. My medical clearance took a year and a half so I truly understand what a pain it is but it is completely dependent on your medical history not so much the doctor. Good Luck!
