Computer Advice (EE/CA)

I hope things are going well for you all. I have a question, so here it is:
For those of you in/from the Eastern Europe/Central Asia region: how feasable would it be to purchase a computer in country? Are prices comprable? Better? Worse? Is there a way to manageably buy a computer there? Are there brands you would recommend?
I want to get a laptop, but I'd like to wait and see what my situation is before I do that. I thought it might be clever to get a computer once I get to my site. I'd appreciate any adivce.
