I have seen several permutations of this meme floating around. I want to do it.

Heheh. My apologies.

That is Robert Vaughn, who was one of the main characters in a sixties television show called The Man from UNCLE. I've been watching it with sakuratsukikage, and it's totally amazing. It's about a group of international spies (the other main character is Russian - though the actor is not, and his accent is awesome considering the time - and he's a great character himself), and one of the cool things about it is the... the spy banter. I don't know what else to call it. Like, when they get going on a plan, they really start talking like spies who know exactly what they're doing. Fast-baced banter, short little exchanges, with very little extraneous information to make things obvious to the viewer, "technical" terms and stuff - they totally sound like they know what they're going, aren't going to fail completely, and are actually, you know, competent international spies. Plus, they have an awesome relationship, wherein they trust each other, but... just barely? I mean, they are obviously allies and go to great lengths to keep each other safe, but they also have this... game. You can sort of feel it, sometimes they'll just very subtly test each other to see how spy-ish they are towards each other, not just to the people they're spying on. I don't know, it's hard to describe, but it's tremendous fun.

Heh. That was longer than intended. XD Basically, sixties spy shows are amazing. And aside from that, I guess I should cop to having a slight thing for vintage men in suits.
