I'm in New York City this week. Yesterday evening, after a long day of seeing a movie ("Brothers of the Head") and going to record stores (Bleecker Bob's, Mondo Kim's) and walking around the Village, my family and I decided to go to the Chelsea diner down on 23rd and 9th.
On that block of 23rd, between 8th and 9th is a cinema that often has Hollywood movie premieres. As we drove down the street, we saw a red carpet and a massive amount of photographers. It was for the movie "Trust The Man," starring none other than the man himself:
DAVID DUCHOVNY
...and others, too. Billy Crudup, Julianne Moore, Eva Mendes, Maggie Gyllenhaal (complete with bonus celeb Peter Sarsgaard).
We got to the premiere JUST in time to catch the cast. The first one out was Julianne Moore. She was with her husband, who directed the movie.
Next out was Eva Mendes. It was hard to get good pics of these people since there were a MILLION flashes going off from all the photographers.
Billy Crudup was up next. Now, personally I think he is a shmuck (for leaving his pregnant girlfriends and all). However, yesterday changed my thoughts about him. I was standing near the corner of the carpet behind the rows of photographers, but I could still see the celebs really well, and they could see me. Billy Crudup was looking around at everybody, so I thought it appropriate to give him a thumbs up (I do not know why!). Anyways, he chuckled, smiled big, and waved back to me! None of those damn annoying papparazzos got anything like that from any of the actors. Aw yeah, I rock. So yeah, Billy Crudup, you're cool in my book now.
After that, David Duchovny was walkin down with his wife, Tea Leone. So yeah, this dude is the coolest dude ever. We also managed to get the MONEY SHOT:
Awwwww yeah.
After that Maggie Gyllenhaal and her Peter Sarsgaard were there. We took pics, but because of all the flashes and such, we only got blurry shots. My brother has come up with the theory that she is Bigfoot (because every photo we took of her was out of focus).
So that concludes my pics of the premiere. Here are some cool shots from the record store Bleecker Bob's.
Me browsing through the John Coltrane records, because I am totally a cool jazz hipster like that. (not really).
Sooo yeah. That was my day. Woke up, saw a movie, went record shopping, gave a thumbs up to Billy Crudup. Ate. Slept.
CATTY COMES ON THURSDAAAY!!!
That is all!
