On The Way To Visiting Mr. Featherhawke

I attended classes the following day. After Professor Snape’s lecture, I stayed behind to speak with him.

Hermione walked up to Professor Snape and I, “I have gotten some interesting news about The Mother and The Father.”

‘Hermione,’ I thought to myself, ‘please leave us alone.’

Hermione went to go get her things, “Excuse me, sorry to leave on short notice, but I need to go finish my Herbology report due this Friday.” Before she left, she added, “I will organize all the information about the Mother and Father a little bit better.”

“Okay Hermione,” Snape began, “just remember to keep school your top priority. Don’t get caught up in other things.”

The door closed, it was the two of us. Something I had been dreaming of since we both left the hospital. “Severus-“

“I heard your thoughts.” Severus began, “You must be careful with this gift, I know you are learning it, but give people an opportunity to make their own decisions.”

“I made her leave?” I questioned, “I don’t understand. I just have the ability to read people’s mind.”

“And control.” He chuckled, “The gift from The Father.”

“Can we use our telepathy? I want to know if we can discuss a topic together.” I smiled inquisitively.

‘Yes we can.’ He replied telepathically.

I jumped not realizing how this gift worked and how clearly I could hear him, “Wow.” I smiled. Then thought, ‘Well, if we can have a quiet conversation like this-‘

‘I have something important to tell you.’ Severus cut me off, ‘It’s your father, he isn’t well. We received word from the Hospital in Cambridge, he is in a coma. We need to investigate to see what is wrong with him.’

I was shocked by the news.

The door opened, it was Headmaster Albus Dumbledore. “Well, I had to come and visit and see how the two of you were doing.” He gave a fatherly smile, “I hope your father is doing quite well.”

“Sir, I must go and visit my father.” I sighed, “He is in dire need of my help. We are a really tight unit-“

“I have your leave forms on my desk waiting for you to sign. Your father already let me know. You will be departing by train, and flying into Cambridge,” he quickly added, “by plane. We don’t need those muggles to see unordinary things, now do we?”

“When will I be leaving for sure?” I asked him.

“This Friday.” He started to head out of the room, “And don’t worry, we will have your school work mailed to you by owl.” As he began to shut the door, he turned his head, “Severus, you will be accompanying Ms. Featherhawke.” And he shut the door.

As Friday morning arrived, I had my bags packed waiting for me in the Hufflepuff Common Room. I bid farewell to my friends. Dobby came in and escorted me to the front gates were Severus stood waiting for me.

He looked so different out of his school uniform. He wore a black polo with a red tie, with dark denim jeans, to complement his outfit he wore a black blazer and black chucks.

‘Wow.’ I thought to him, ‘you look so different.’ I blushed, my eyes turned pink.

‘I could say the same for you.’ He smiled.

I wore a pink t-shirt, with a black cardigan sweater, with dark denim jeans. I wore a beanie.

“You ready to go?” He asked, “The carriage is waiting for us.”

Dobby came up to us, “Good riddance Ms. Featherhawke, hope you come back soon. Hogwarts will miss you.”

“Thank you Dobby. I appreciate it. Take care.”

Severus and I walked through the front doors, escorting me onto the carriage.

I was enjoying the spring morning. I was cuddling next to Severus, holding his hand. It was something I always dreamed of, being a normal teenager.

‘Thank you for coming with me.’ I thought to him, ‘You don’t know how much this means to me. I am so glad we get to be together- alone.’

‘I am glad you appreciate me.’ As he telepathically told me, he smiled, he held me closer to him.

I felt so comfortable in his arms, I took a small nap. When I awoke I was on the train leaving Hogwarts.

“How long have we been on the train?” I asked.

“For about a good 15 minutes.” He yawned, “I was wondering when you would wake up. You have been sleeping for at least a ½ an hour.”

“I am going to walk around,” I smiled, “You want me to get anything?” I asked.

“Some pumpkin juice and yourself.” He replied as he went back to reading the paper.

I was wondering around the train, smiling at each passenger that looked up at me. I went into the car that served food and beverages.

“Hello Miss,” smiled an older man, who was brewing some coffee, “what would you like today?”

“I would like some-“

“I already know.” He smiled reaching for a cup.

“You do?” I asked stunned.

“Yes, hot chocolate, right?” he asked mixing the enchanted cocoa powder. It sparked when it was mixed with water, “My favorite enchanted mix.”

“Well, sure.” I smiled, “Why not. I will give it a try. Will you also get me some Pumpkin juice too?”

“Yes Miss.” He said as he waved his wand. The Pumpkin juice was floating to him as well as a cup, “So where are you headed?”

“Cambridge,” I sighed, “my father isn’t well.”

“What ails him?” he asked.

“I don’t know, I will find out soon enough though.” I replied with a blank stare on my face.

“Well,” he replied, “I hope he gets better. Here are your drinks. I hope the hot cocoa makes you feel better, chocolate normally does anyway.”

I didn’t hear him, I was starting to see black.

“Miss?” he asked, “You okay?” he waved his hand in front of me.

Objects began to levitate, the coffee pot shattered. I began to rise inches off of the ground.

“Someone help!” the man yelled, “Somebody get this girl!”

I tried to fight it, but I it was different to control. I could not speak, I could not move, I was no longer apart of this world.

“Breeze,” The Father called me, “welcome back. I called for you.”

“Why?” I asked standing in front of light.

“Because, there is something you need to know about your dad.” He replied, “Your father is becoming ill. But it’s not a human ill. It’s a spiritual illness. You need to save your father. Evil is creeping into his veins.”

“Why does he have evil inside of him?”

“Breeze!” a voice yelled, “Breeze! Wake up! You get some ice for her, she is hot!”

I began to wake up, I found myself on the ground. I began to mumble, “I saw h-him.” I stuttered, “I know w-what’s wrong.”

I heard muttering going around.

“Here I am going to put ice on you.” Severus said.

“What happened in here?” I asked.

“You destroyed the room!” a hysterical woman screamed, “You are pure evil!”

“I have never seen anything like this, a child, with unnatural power, even in the witching world.” A man retorted.

“What did I do?” I replied shaken.

“Trying to hurt an innocent-“

“ENOUGH!” yelled Severus, “She is learning about her self, leave her alone!”

I shakily began to stand up, windows were shattered. The man serving me my drinks had gauge bandages on his face and hands. He looked to terrified to look back at me.

“Sir,” I whispered, “I am so dearly sorry. I do apologize.”

He didn’t respond but ignored me. Severus chanted a spell to re-fix the room and we went back to private room on the train.

“Severus,” I began to cry, “The Father called me to him. He told me dad has an evil inside of him. I didn’t lose control on purpose. You have to believe me.”

“You must remember, I have been in touch with The Father for a long time,” he held me, “He can be sporadic, but you must be aware of your surroundings.”

“I wish you would understand-“

“Breeze,” Severus sternly said, “You almost killed a man and destroyed a car.”

“But I didn’t do it! The Father entered me and did all that shit!” I yelled, “He has too much power for my body to store in me!”

He became quiet as if he were contemplating on a theory.

I looked out of the window as we sat in silence the rest of the way to our next stop.
