kamenashi Hayato, my son... my lover... VII

Apr 23, 2009 07:56

"Wuah!!! Tou-chan!!! Look!!!! Look!!!"
The 3 year old boy flailed his hands as he went back and forth on the swing.
"Higher, daddy!!! Higher!!!"

Kame laughed as he snapped his cameras madly on the cute chubby cheeked boy.

"Haya!!!"
Kame waved.

"Tou-chan!!!"
He squealed.
"Daddy!!! Higher!!! Haya wants to fly to Tou-chan!!!"

The man behind him laughed at the kid, and obliged a little, because if he push more, he really might send his son off the swing, and the tot might

land somewhere else, and get hurt.
He won't have that, his son means everything to him, and plus, if he hurts him, he won't forgive himself, and surely his lover won't either.

"Tou-chan!!!!!"
He giggled cheekily.
"Haya is flying!!!!"

Kame laughed and kept taking picture of the toddler.
He would wave at him once or twice, and place his hand back to snap more pictures.

"I'll set the food and everything now, okay?"
Kame smiled at them.
"Come on."

"Okay, Haya, you heard mommy."
The man behind him stopped the swing, and picked up the tot.
"Besides, it's your lunch time too."

"AH!!! NO!!!"
He struggled in the man's hold.
"Daddy!!! Haya is not hungry."

"Later."
He fixed his hold on his son.
"Okay?"

"NO!!!"
He flailed his little arms and legs.
"Daddy!!! Please!!! More swing swing!!!!"

"Hayato, I said no, and that's final."

"But... swing... ugh..."
He flailed even more.
"DADDY!!!!!!"

Kame got up from the blanket and reached for his son, taking him from the other's hold.

"Shhh, Haya baby..."
Kame put his little head on the crook of his neck, and caresses his son's back.
"Don't cry like this, sweet heart."

The tot screamed in frustration, making Kame and the older man sighed.

"We're not going home, baby."
Kame said softly.
"We're just having lunch."

"Look..."
Kame turned and pointed to the blanket on the ground.
"I have pear for you too."

The tot's cries lessened, but he was still sobbing, and he could tell that he's pouting.

"And..."
He sat down on the ground, and brought the little boy to face him.
"We can go have ice cream, if Haya is being a good boy."

"Really?"
His little hand clutched on the collar of Kame's shirt.
"Haya can have choco and vanilla?"

"AND strawberry if Haya is being extra good."
Kame nodded, smiling.

"Promise?"
The tot pouted, and shows his pinky near Kame's face.

"I promise, baby."
Kame took the little pinky and tangles it with his own.
"Anything for my Hayato."

"Tou-chan daisuki!!!"
He throw his little self at him.
"Haya loves tou-chan so much!!!"

"And tou-chan loves Haya so much too."
Kame chuckled.

The little boy stood on Kame's lap and held his face in his two little hands.
Hayato then tip toed and gave Kame's cheek a kiss.

"So, eat your chicken first."
Kame opened the first container.
"Here's your fork."

"Can Haya use those skinny sticks too?"
He pointed.
"Haya wants to be like tou-chan and daddy."

"Not yet, baby, later, okay?"
Kame smiled.
"I don't want you to poke yourself."

"So, let's eat, okay?"
Kame settled the boy on the ground, and put the plastic fork on his little hand.
"What do we say before eating?"

"I-ta-da-ki-ma-su!!!!"
He grinned at Kame and begins eating his chicken that is already cut to little pieces by his tou-chan.

"Hey! How come he listens to you?!"

"Are you jealous, Jin?"
Kame grinned.

"Of course, I have a hard time with this guy, and looking at you seems easy, Kazu."
He pouted.

"Because you're the same."
Kame pointed.
"It doesn't work that way."

"What do you mean by that?"
Jin crossed his arms on his chest.

He laughed at his lover's reaction.

"Don't worry, Jin."
He smiled.
"I have sandwhich, sushi, gyoza, and onigiri. Which one would you like first?"

"Onigiri."
Jin replied.
"I haven't eat that in a while."

Kame opened the wrap and handed it to the older one.

"Did you buy this, Kazu?"

"Hah! I made them of course!"
Kame crossed his hands.
"I can make onigiris, you know!"

"Wuahhh!!! Umai!!! This is so good, Kazu."
He exclaimed.

"Right?!"
Kame beamed.

"It's umeboshi!!!"
Jin exclaimed.
"But... baby, you hate umeboshi."

"You love it..."
Kame smiled.
"So I made it just for you."

"Kazu..."
Jin stopped eating and looked at his lover lovingly.

Kame just smiled and turn to his son.

"Haya, eat it with some rice, okay?"
Kame smiled.
"And some of the vegetables."

"Hai..."
The tot nodded.
"Can I have what daddy is having too?"

"If you can finish these and still want more, yes, Haya."
Kame kissed his forehead lovingly.

"Yay!!!"
He clapped his little hand and continued eating.

"Hey."
Jin cupped his cheek.
"Thank you."

"For what?"
Kame smiled.

"For being you..."
Jin smiled.
"For being with me and Hayato."
Jin kissed Kame's forehead.
"And baby..."

Kame pants a little as his heart skips a beat and their faces are merely an inch apart.

"Thank you for loving me."
Jin smiled and captured his lips.

Kame closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around Jin's neck.
Hands still holding a small water bottle for Hayato, and a wrapped onigiri for himself.
A tempura onigiri mind you.

Their kiss was turning passionate but Kame chuckled as someone interrupted their moment.

"Chuuu~"
The little tot pouts his lips.
"Daddy and tou-chan, chuuu~"

"Can we just dump him somewhere and pick him up later?"
Jin whispered.

"No!"
Kame hit his head.
"Are you crazy?!"

"I was just kidding, Kazu..."
Jin pouted.
"Itai... so mean..."

"Chuu?"
Haya blinked.
"Tou-chan... Daddy..."

The little tot claps his hands, forgetting about the food and the mess he created.

Kame smiled, picking him up and placed him on his lap.
He chuckled as Hayato kept repeating "chuu" as he cleans his face and hand.
Clapping his hands and calling him and Jin and repeating the words over and over.

"This brat is seeking attention."
Jin pinched the tot's cheek.

"Like father, like son, right?"
Kame looked between them.

"Chuuu~"

"Hn? Haya wants a kiss too?"
Kame smiled, looking down at the tot.

"Hai!!! Chuuuuuu!!!"
The tot clapped and nodded frantically.

"From me, or daddy?"
Kame pointed himself and Jin.

"Both!"
He raised his fist.

"Okay..."
Kame put Hayato on his feet.
"Tou-chan and daddy will give you a chuu."

"Chuuu."
Hayato giggled as both Jin and Kame kissed his cheeks at the same time.

"I love you."
Jin placed a kiss on the tot's head.

"Haya loves daddy too."
His little hand pats Jin's chest.
"And loves tou-chan too."

Kame smiled and gave a peck on his cheek again.

"I love Haya."
Kame poked his tummy.

Jin watched the two for a moment, smiling fondly at Kame when the other looked up at him with a quizzical expression reflected in his eyes.

"I love you, Kazuya."
Jin reached his hand, and entwined them pausing for a moment to take in the softness of the other’s slender hand as it caressed against his.
"You know that, right?"

Kame smiled, and nodded, looking at Jin, as he caressed the older man’s hand gently with his index finger in a slow and tender gesture of understanding.

"I love you too Jin."

Hayato clapped his little hands, and squealed.

"Haya wants a song."

"Eh?"
Kame frowned.

"Haya wants a song."
He nodded.
"Please?"

"But the guitar is at home, Haya."
Jin pointed.

"Daddy doesn't need a guitar to sing."
He pouted.
"Daddy sing is good."

"Tou-chan too."

Both men looked at each other.

"You're right, Haya baby."
Kame brought the tot to his embrace and place him on his laps again.
"Your daddy sings well."

"No, your tou-chan sings better."
Jin shook his head.

"Haya wants both!"
He pouts.

"Okay, okay, baby..."
Kame placed a kiss on the top of his head.
"What should we sing?"

"Um.... ah!!"
The boy grabbed Jin's index finger.
"Daddy and tou-chan's song!!!"

(My Angel You Are Angel)

As they sing the last line, Hayato now sits in between the two people that loves him the most.
Kame and Jin holds hands and smiled at each other.
Their eyes saying everything.

When they finished their lunch, Jin carried the tot in his arms.
Hayato squealed as Jin raised him high up in the air.

"Look, tou-chan!!!"
He giggled.

Kame held on to the basket, and laughed along with their son.

"Daddy!!!"
He clapped when Jin brought him to his chest, holding him there while he laughed.

"You have fun, baby?"
Jin looked at the tot in his arms.

"HAIII!!!"
The boy nodded frantically.
"Again! Again! Daddy, again!!!"

"Okay... just one more time..."
Jin chuckled, and obliged to the three year old.

"Okay, that's enough, you just ate."
Kame warned.

"But, tou-cha~n...."
Hayato pouts.

"In an hour or two, okay, Haya?"
Jin smiled.

"Hn.... okay..."
The tot nodded hesitantly.

"So, since you're so good today, let's go get some new toys?"
Jin grinned.

"Haya can have toys?!"

"Yeah."
Kame nodded.
"Haya can pick anything in the store, and tou-chan and daddy will get it for you."

The boy hugged Jin and leaned to the other side to give Kame a kiss.

Securing his hold on his son with one hand, he took his lover's with the other one.

Kame smiled, and looked at Jin.

"Come on, Kame, I want some toys too."
Jin winked.

Kame blushed and managed to glare at his lover.

"Daddy and tou-chan play too?"
The tot blinked innocently.

"Yes, daddy and tou-chan also plays."
Jin grinned.

"How come Haya is not play too?"
The boy pouted, crossing his arms.

"Jin, carry the basket and give him to me."
Kame pointed.
"Seriously, you're destroying our son."

Jin laughed and gave him a quick peck on the lips.

They argued a little for another two minutes, but soon broke out into laughter when their son blurted something funny.
Jin looked at his lover lovingly, and when Kame caught his gaze, he gave the older man a loving smile.

Holding hands and freely express their love to the other...
This is the kind of lifestyle where they both really belong.

Just him and Jin.
And Jin's son, their* son, Hayato.

"I love you."

_______________________________________

Kame opened his eyes to the slightly dark place of his bedroom.
He lets few more tears slid down his cheeks and closes his eyes again.

Jin...

Not long after, he opened his eyes again, and let more tears fall down.

I miss you...

From time to time, there'll be dreams about him, Jin, and Hayato.
Just the three of them, together, somewhere, anywhere, and they all would share a laugh.

Dreaming of what he wish could have happen in reality.

Of what could have been...

But... things aren't as happy and as bright like his dreams.
Sometimes he doesn't know if things like that should still be considered *dreams* anymore since he'd wake up from it all, and cry.

Nightmare...

But what a sweet nightmare it is...
And, if he can, maybe, he could stay in that dream/nightmare.
Hope that he doesn't open his eyes.
Because if he does, then he'll cry...

And those happy and bright moments will become nightmare.
But if he doesn't, it'll be dreams.

More tears fall down and disappeared into the sheets.
He hugged himself and snuggled to a more comfortable position under the blanket.

Sometimes, Kame thinks it's okay.
Because it makes him happy at some point, remembering Jin.
As much as he wants to stay in that land, where Jin is there, he can't.

He has his son to take care of.
Their son.

Their son is what keeps him strong, keeps him on going through the hardest times he has to face alone.
It's their son that gives him strength in living this horrible, crucial, and painful life.
Their son, is the only thing he has left.

And their son, brings him happiness.

So he gets up, shoulders all the pain by himself, and continue on living without him.
Determine to fill in his role in their son's life.

They say time heals all wounds, and all that remains are the scars of it.

He waits till the deepest wound in his heart to heal.
Bearable, he thinks, because he is there.
Hayato's there.

Instead, time deepens his wound, and creating new ones.
Time to time it bleeds again.

Life is just too cruel for him.
Or is it fate?
Both are just too cruel.

He blames himself when he thinks of regrets.
Blames himself when he looks back, and starts asking himself what would've happened if he hadn't done this or that.

Why are they so cruel to him?
Fate or life, which ever.
Isn't it enough that Jin, the love of his life, the person he loves more than life itself isn't there, but, what more is...

Their son... is the exact copy of his dad?

His lips, his nose, his eyes, his voice, even down to his personality.

They're all his dad's.

They're all his lover's.

He blames himself when he thinks the other is him.
He hates himself for seeing their son as his father.

Jin is Jin.
Hayato isn't Jin.

Because Jin... is gone...

"T-tou-chan..."
A raspy voice spoke out behind him.

Kame's eyes snapped open, and quickly wiped his eyes of any tear residue.
Then he turned around, to meet his son's sleeping face.

"Haya?"
Kame frowned.
"Haya, what's wrong?"

The teen whimpered and opened his eyes only to close it again.
He saw his son panting slightly, and trembled.

"Hey, are you ok- Haya! You're burning!"
Kame gasped when his hand touched the younger's arm.

The teen just panted and opened his eyes.

"S-sou...?"
He whispered, hoarsely.

"Haya..."
Kame looked got off the bed, and tucked the blanket up to the teen's chin.

He walked to his closet and took out two pairs of socks and his largest sweater he could find.
Then he walked back to the bed, and put the said items on his son.
He walked back to another closet, taking out another blanket.

"How's that?"
Kame pushed back the strands of hair on his forehead.
"Haya?"

"Hn...."
The teen nodded weakly.
"Okay..."

"Anything hurts, Haya?"
Kame cups his face.

The teen nodded, and groaned.

"Throat?"
Kame asked, hand on his neck.
"Head? Your body?"

Hayato nodded, opening his eyes again, he reached for Kame's hand.

"What's wrong, Haya..."
Kame put his hand in between his, trying to give him his body heat.
"Why are you sick like this?"

"Did you stay out late?"
Kame frowned.
"Haya, I bought you a car for a reason, when it's too cold, lazy or not, you need to drive and go to school, or for your practice. "

"Is your rover troubling you?"

"Let's go get something else then... How about, Cadillac? Mercedez? BMW? Mustang?"
Kame rambled on.
"I'd get you any car in the market, Haya, as long as you drive them, especially in this cold weather."

"Makes it easier, and... you won't be out waiting for bus in the cold."

"G-gomen ne... t-tou-chan..."
He croaked out.
"I-I was..."

"Okay, don't talk too much, sweet heart."
Kame smiled.
"You rest here, I'll make you some breakfast."

Hayato shook his head.

"What's wrong?"
Kame cupped his right cheek.
"You don't want to eat?"

The teen shook his head again.

"I'll be right back."
Kame walked out of the room

Don't leave me... Kazuya...

Hayato sat up only to fall back down on the bed, coughing a little, he closed his eyes.

He woke up later by the soft voice calling his name, and gentle stroke on his hair.
Every touch has love in it, and he doesn't feel like waking up.

"You have to eat, Haya... please?"

He couldn't do that to his tou-chan.
When he was little he's always taught to be polite, and comply when someone asks politely.

"I made some soup."
He smiled.
"I have some tea and milk for you too."

Hayato nodded.

Kame placed the little table on the bed, and helped Hayato to sit up.
The teen pants a little, feeling weaker by the second.

"I called Jay that you won't be coming to school nor practice."
Kame handed him the spoon.

The teen nodded a little, and starts digging on his food.
He winced at the bitter taste, wanting to spit it out.
But he swallowed, closing his eyes as he did so.

After 2 scoop of the soup, he leaned on the head's board, sighing tiredly.

"Tou-chan... it tastes bad..."

Kame sighed.
Hayato's always like this when he's sick.
The boy would walk to Kame's room, and sleep there, and refused to eat.
He would just sleep all day long.
Unless Kame feeds him, or bribe him with toys when he was younger.

"You have to eat."
Kame warned.

"No... I feel sick."
He groaned.

Kame spooned some of the soup and brought it to his son's lips.

"Aaah..."
Kame coos.

As if on instinct, Hayato opened his mouth and eat it.

Kame chuckled and ruffled his son's hair.

"That always works, you know."
He smiled.

"It taste horrible because you're sick, right?"
Kame frowned.
"Have I become a bad cook, Haya?"

He shook his head.

"I taste nothing, just bitter, bland, plain..."
He murmured.

"But you still have to eat it."
Kame smiled.

Hayato pouted slightly, but kept on taking the food from his tou-chan's hand.
Even though it taste awful, he swallowed them all because it's given from his tou-chan.

"Finish it all?"
Kame looked at him.

Hayato just blinked and pouted even more.

"You want me to feed you?"

The boy nodded.

"You know... this kind of thing frustrates me."
Kame sighed.

"Eh..."
He felt like someone tore his chest, took out his heart, and stab it in front of him.

"You wanting to eat only from my hand, frustrates me."
Kame stated.

"Gomen... nasai..."
He whispered.
"I'm a bothersome to you, huh, tou-chan?"

Kame chuckled and pour some water in the glass to give it to his son.

"Yes, you are, Haya."

Hayato took the glass from his hand when Kame was about to help him drink from it.

"You don't want to eat unless I feed you."
He pointed.
"Your uncle Reio, uncle Pi, Tatsuya and Koki oji-chan are some of them you throw your tantrums to."

"Sick or not, you're really troublesome, Haya."

Kame took the glass and put it aside.

"But...."
He smiled.
"It makes me happy."

"Whenever you cry, you'd only stop if I'm around."
He stated.
"Only eat when I feed you, as a baby, or even now."

Hayato looked at him, and slowly his lips curved into a smile.

"I feel so special."

You are, tou- Kazuya...

"And yes, it frustrates me because when I'm at work, you won't eat, and you end up sick."
Kame flicked his forehead softly.
"No matter what obaa-chan or ojii-chan does, you wouldn't eat, and you'd just scream and cry at the top of your lungs."

"Gomen, tou-chan..."

"Hm?"
Kame settled his hand on the boy's knee.
"You're forgiven, Haya... I can't be mad at you for simple things like that."

He put the bowls away, and give the teen some medicine.
After Hayato took it, Kame put the bowls and glass away, and brought the blanket all the way to his son's torso.

"It's my job to worry about you."
He caresses his face.
"And besides..."

"It's fun seeing all of your ji-chan in distress."
He winked.
"Don't tell them I say that, okay?"

"Okay."
Hayato grinned.
"I promise."

The teen stretched his hand, and offered his pinky to his tou-chan.
Kame's smile fades as he saw the left pinky of the younger one stretched out to him.
Tears threatened to fall out of his eyes.

"Tou-chan?"
Hayato blinked.

Kame smiled, and sat on the edge, bringing the younger one to his embrace.

"Get better soon, Haya..."
Kame said softly.
"I'll make you a hot coco tonight if your throat isn't feeling scratchy anymore."

Hayato smiled, and tightened his hold around his tou-chan's skinny body.
He cursed himself for being sick at this moment because he couldn't hold him properly.
But nonetheless, he's happy that his tou-chan hugs him.

"I'll clean up first, and I'll get back here."
Kame released their embrace first.

Hayato shivered, the warmth that was in his arms now replaced by the coldness of late December, even if their apartment is properly heated.

"What about work, tou-chan?"

"I never work when you're sick, Haya."
He smiled, picking up the bowls.
"What kind of tou-chan would I be if I do?"

"But-"

"Go rest, and when you wake up, I'll be back with some lunch."
He smiled.

"Tou-chan..."
He called him before Kame made his way out of his room.
"You're not... leaving me, are you?"

"Baka, of course not."
Kame shook his head.
"I'm going to call the supermarket and have them deliver everything."

"Besides, who wants to go out in 19 degree fahrenheit?"
Kame pointed.
"Rest, Haya."

Kame smiled and closed the door.

Hayato snuggled his face into his tou-chan's pillow.
Smiling as he breathe in the scent of the older man.
A scent of softness, and it makes him tingle in warmth.

Kame put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher machine, press some buttons, and it automatically cleans whatever it is inside.

I promise....
The teen offered his pinky.

He leaned on the kitchen counter, and sighed, letting the tears that he was holding few minutes ago.
Slumping down, he broke down and cry.
Biting his arm, to muffle his cries.

"Jin..."

I still wish he was you...
_______________________________________________________________________

True to what his tou-chan said, he woke up and got his lunch.
It was still some more soup, but this one is bearable for some reason.
They ate together, though he wishes he's having what his tou-chan is having, chicken katsu.

"There's chiken in there too, Haya."
Kame pointed.

"Yea, but... it's... boiled..."
He winced.
"I want mine likes yours too, tou-chan, fried."

"It's chicken."
Kame scooped some out, and eat it himself.

"Tou-chan, you can get sick too, you know."
Hayato pointed.

"Not really, depends on my immune system."
Kame smiled.
"If it's weak, then, yeah, probably I will, but I'm feeling great, so I doubt it."

"I always do that when you refuse to eat, I'd eat it myself first, and then you'll soon follow."
He grinned.
"Always works whether you're sick or not."

"How old do you think I am, tou-chan?"
The teen crossed his arms.
"I'm not the 5 or 10 years old Hayato anymore."

"Sou ne..."
Kame laughed.
"You're right... my son isn't a baby anymore."

"Oh, I have some fruits, I'll bring it in, okay?"
The older one got up and left the room.

Hayato stared at the spoon in the bowl, and quickly picked it up and put it in his mouth.

"I'm not a kid anymore..."
Indirect kiss...
He smiled to himself.

When Kame came back with the bowls of fruits, he grinned in triumph at his son.
Hayato looked away and reasoned he was hungry, so he finished the entire soup.

After their lunch, Kame stayed in the room watching tv with the teen.
Kame was watching Japanese news, but Hayato would change it from time to time to anime.

"You won't learn from anime."
Kame pointed.
"Not proper Japanese at least."

"Demo tou-chan... I learned!"
He grinned.

"Yeah? You can't talk like that to someone you don't know, Haya..."
Kame frowned.
"They'll think low of you."

"You don't, do you?"

"Of course I don't."
Kame ruffled his hair.
"You're smart, and a very good boy."

Hayato grinned and nodded.

"I raised you after all."
Kame chuckled.
"You're my son, so you have to be, ne?"

*And... that's all I'll ever be, huh?
Your son...*

You're the son of my lover, of course you're not low...***

"What's he saying now, that reporter guy?"
Hayato pointed.

"Oh, government political stuffs."
Kame replied.

"Ah, he's saying about a new law, something like that, right, tou-chan?"
He turned to Kame.

"Yep."
Kame nodded.

"See! I told you, I learn, somehow."
The teen beamed.

"Yes, yes, you did a good job, Haya."
Kame ruffled his hair.

The two continued on watching the news untill Kame decided to change the channel.

"What's this, tou-chan?"
Hayato frowned.

"Oh, it's like one of those award shows, like the Oscars."
Kame smiled.
"Best movie, pictures, songs, actors, etc."

"Hmm..."
The boy nodded.

"Please give it up, for this year's best comedy actor, Osaka's very own, Yokoyama Yuu!!!"

"Oh..."
Kame gaped but smiled.
"Yoko did well in that movie, after all, ne..."

"Tou-chan..."
Hayato frowned.
"That man seemed familiar..."

"Eh?"
Kame blinked.
"W-well of course he's familiar, you've probably saw one of his movies or something with me..."

"Really?"
Hayato squints his eyes.
"But... maybe not in movies, or tvs, but..."

"Did you see him on the cover of one of the magazines I bought?"

"Hm..."
The teen taps his chin.
"Maybe, ne..."

Hayato shrugged, and turned his attention back to the flat screen on the wall.

Kame heaved a sigh and wanting to change the channel again to some anime, or anything, but Hayato has the remote in his hand, turning the volume louder.

Okay... He doesn't remember Yoko much, and... oh, well, no one else is there anyways, right?
Kame frowned.
Oh good...

Kame sighed in relieved again as the awards are for non JE artists.

"Oh!!! That's the guy who played in that samurai movie!!!"
Hayato pointed.
"That was the best samurai movie though, ne, tou-chan?"

"Yes..."
Kame nodded.
"I liked it too."

"This year's best song composer for the Romance genre, give it up for another Johnny's-"

Kame's ear perked up at that.
He looked around to see the remote near his son's thigh.

"He and his former band, that shook the entire nation the moment they debuted, to the moment they decided to brake it off, the U of the once popular band, KAT-TUN's, Ue-"

"Haya..."
Kame turned the teen around, and with his knee pressed random button, changing the channel.
"Let me see your fever."

He brought the boy's forehead to his own, and closed his eyes.

Hayato gasped.

"T-t-t-tou-chan..."
He felt the older man's breath on his lips, their nose touching.

"It's going down."
Kame smiled, sighing.
"That's good."

The teen was left panting.

"Haya... what's wrong?"
Kame gaped.

"I-I-I'm... tired..."
He lied.

"Rest, Haya..."
Kame laid him down gently on the bed.
"Rest till dinner time, okay?"

He just nodded and closed his eyes.
When he saw his tou-chan is out of the room, he sat up, holding his chest, as if telling it to calm down.

What would you do... if my lips touched yours?

After dinner, Kame helped the teen changed into a fresh new pair of his own pajamas.
The teen was complaining that he was sweaty, and stinkier since his tou-chan isn't allowing him to shower.
So he had to settle for a sponge bath.

When he met with Hayato's naked body, he couldn't help but stare at it.
The sponge lingered longer than it supposed to on the teen's back.

He snapped out of it and helped the teen to his pjs.
Then he walked out to make the hot coco he promised earlier today.

"Tou-chan, what was the happiest or most memorable moments in your life?"
Hayato sipped his drink slowly.

When your tou-san declared his love for me for the first time***
Kame smiled.
That was the happiest for him.

But of course, there's something else.

"I can't just name one, you know."
Kame taps the cup with his fingers.
"There are one where you first started walking."

"Eh?"
The teen frowned.

"Hn... I have the video of it too..."
Kame chuckled.
"Baby Haya's first step."

"Well, I'm not a baby."
The teen pouted.

"To me, you'd always be a baby, Haya."
Kame smiled.

Why...

"And then there's also your first words."
Kame ruffled the teen's hair, messing it a bit.
"I don't know whether to laugh or mad at that, but, that's a happy memory for me."

"My... first words?"
The teen frowned.

Kame nodded and chuckled.

"You called me azu, Haya."

"A...zu?"

"I remembered it as if it was yesterday, baby."
Kame smiled fondly at him.
"You were busy playing with the button on my shirt, and then, when I was reading something, you wanted my attention, so you tapped my chest."

"When I tended to you, you were still tapping my chest while you were beaming at me for some reason."
Kame continued.
"Then, you said it..."

"Watching you grow, those moments are the happiest for me, Haya."
Kame ran a hand up and down the boy's knee.
"From the first time I changed your diapers, the first time I let you off to school, the first time I taught you how to ride a bike, to the first time I taught you how to drive... and many more, Haya."

"Moments with you are memorable for me."
Kame smiled softly.
"We hardly spend time together lately, and I really miss that."

I miss you too, Kazuya... tou-chan...

"I guess everyone went through this stage, huh?"
Kame chuckled.
"Be distant to their parents in their teenage life. I was like that too."

"It's not that, tou-chan..."
Hayato shook his head.

"Hn? It's not?"
Kame tilts his head to the side.
"Do you want to tell me, Haya?"

He was silent for a minute.

"It's because..."

Because of this thing...
Because of this love
This type of love that a son shouldn't feel towards his tou-chan.

"Haya..."
Kame cups his cheek, giving him a loving look.
"You can tell me whenever you want, or when you can, I told you, you don't have to say it just because I asked for it."

The teen nodded, and they smiled at each other.

"Okay."
Hayato cups the hand on his cheek.

"Is there anything else that isn't maybe involving me?"
Hayato broke the silence, changing the topic.
"Like... your moments with your friends, base ball, school, and such?"

"Oh, how about, your adventures with ji-chan?"
He pointed.
"It seems like whenever I see them, they always have interesting stuffs to say."

"Although I won't understand most of what they're saying since, uncle Koki talks too fast."
He frowned a bit.
"But, I could tell, when we visited, they're always having things to say."

"And, what's that all about running from the medias?"

Kame almost choked on his drink.

"Medias?"
Kame said innocently.
"You sure you heard it right, Haya?"

"Well... this is uncle Koki who said it after all."
The teen taps his chin.
"I'm not sure if he said medias or something else though..."

"Do you blame me? They all talk fast, how am I suppose to catch up?"
He pouted.

"By practicing everytime."
Kame poked his cheek.
"That's why no English when you're at home, or with me."

"Hai..."
The teen nodded.
"But, you haven't asnwer my question."

"I just did."
Kame poked his chest.
"How about you, Haya?"
Kame smiled.

"What is the happiest moment in your life?"

"Japan."
Hayato smiled back.

Kame's smile fades a little.

"Just so much fun, going to festivals with you and ji-chan."
He continued.
"Wearing the yukata, eat takoyaki, play some games, and... I was so happy when you, and Ryo ji-chan got me the koi fish."

"Ah... I see..."
Kame nodded, smiling fondly at the younger man.

"Yeah!"
The teen nodded.
"But, the most fun of all, is, when we go watch the fire works together, tou-chan."

"And when we go home walking, I would carry the plastic bag with the fish that you and Ryo ji-chan gave me, and you'd hold my hand, and uncle pi,

Junno ji-chan, uncle Tatsuya, Yuichi ji-chan, and uncle Koki would carry the toys they won in the festivals for me."

Hayato beamed.

Kame nodded, chuckling as he poked his son's cheek.

"I miss it, tou-chan."

He said softly, his tone a bit longing.

"Hn..."
Kame sighed as he push back the strands of hair on the younger one's forehead.
"We'll visit next time, okay?"

"EH?!"
The teen sat up straight.
"REALLY?! Honto desu ka???!!!!"

"Yes."
Kame nodded.
"We will visit, Haya."

"Wuah!!! Finally!!!"
The laughed.
"Six years, I'd be going home!!!"

"Wuahhh, I'm so excited, I can't wait to do all fun things!!!"
He grinned at Kame.
"Tou-chan, this time, I'll win you lots of koi fish!!!"

"As if you can, Hayato."
Kame huffed, mocking his son.

"Oh, I will get you at least 5, tou-chan."
He nodded.
"Then, I'd get 2 for Ryo ji-chan, 1 for uncle pi, 2 for uncle Tatsuya, and 1 for Koki, Junno, and Yuichi ji-chan."

Kame laughed at that.

"Oh! Of course, Reio ji-chan too."
Hayato exclaimed.

Kame was taken a back a little.

"Reio... ji-chan?"
Kame forced a smile.

"Yeah... Reio ji-chan."
Hayato nodded.
"I miss him, by the way, he's the least that talks to me."

"Well, we'll just have to bother your uncle Reio, then."
Kame chuckled.

Hayato grinned at him.

And your tou-san...

Kame smiled.

And explain everything to you, Haya...

"Well young man, finish your drink, and let's head to bed early, okay?"
Kame pointed.

"Hai..."
The teen replied.

Kame fluffs the pillows for the both of them while Hayato gulps the rest of his coco.
Then, he slips in the blanket, Hayato following suit.

"Come here, Haya..."
Kame pats the space next to his pillow.

The teen lay close to the older man's body, and he was smiling at him.
Kame's hand wraps himself around Hayato, and closes his eyes.

Then... the older man laughs.

"What's so funny, tou-chan?"

"It's hard to hug you now, Haya."
Kame sighed.
"When you were little, it's so easy to put you in my arms."

"I still managed it till you were 16, but, I guess because you're an athlete, ne."
Kame chuckled.
"My boy is growing up."

"Oh..."
He muttered softly.

It was silent for a short moment till he looked at the older man's eyes, and received that loving smile from him.

"Then..."
He trailed.

"Then?"
Kame said, still smiling.

"Can I... hold you instead?"
He mumbled.

Kame blinked, making him regret that he asked such thing to the older man.
But, he smiled, snuggles himself to Hayato's body.

"Okay."

Hayato was taken aback, nonetheless, his arms automatically wrapped themselves around the smaller but older man.
The teen buries his nose in the older man's hair.

Smells so good...
Wow... I am the happiest man... right now.

Hayato closes his eyes.

I wish to stay like this with you forever....

"Tou-chan, I don't want to grow up anymore."
He mumbled childishly.

"Eh?"
Kame frowned.

"'Cuz if I do... then... you'd stop doing these things, and... who'll take care of me?"
His hold tightened a little.

"Silly."
Kame chuckled.
He pulled away from his son's hold, and looked up at him.

"You won't leave me, right, K-"
He cleared his throat.
"Tou-chan?"

Kame shook his head, smiling lovingly at him.

"I won't, Haya."
He said softly.
"I won't."

Hayato nodded, and pull the older man back to his hold.

"Oyasumi, Hayato."
Kame said.

"Oyasumi..."
Kazuya.

And they both drifted off to sleep.

Few minutes after he made sure the other one fell asleep...
He opened his eyes, and stare at his figure.

"I love you..."
He whispered.

Leaning in, he placed a kiss on that lips.

A kiss oh so very gentle, so that the other won't wake up.

Smiling, he closed his eyes and drifts off to sleep.
