Chapter 4- Reconciliation

House sat in his office, throwing his beloved red and white ball up and down in the air. 'Our baby...Our baby House' rang through his mind. He was full of an emotion other than annoyance or hatred, it ran deeper. He knew this baby would change his life. It would change their lives. He knew Cameron wouldn't give it up, not without a fight.  House downed a few Vicodins, stood up and limped out of his office.

He walked down to Wilson's office. The door was locked.
"Are you rolling joints in there again?" House shouted.
"Shut up House" Wilson opened the door. "Haven't you got something better to do? Like apologizing to a certain person?"
"Who? Cuddy? Why? She knows her blouse is waaaaay too revealing for the office. It distracts attention from her ass." House smirked.
"Cameron you idiot. She told you because you would find out anyway and you would blow an even bigger gasket at not finding out from her."
"Yeah, well.. Why should I apologize?"
"You should apologize, but I know you won't, so at least tell her your intentions on how you are gonna deal with the whole baby thing." Wilson said in a way that would resemble Lisa Simpsons logic- but not all girly and high pitched.
"But moooooomm!" House whined
"House, please. Just apologize." Wilson's words had an eerie finality to them.
House walked out of the room, and went up to the stairwell where Cameron had run.

"Yeah, that was funny... But y'know,..." Cuddy trailed off as she saw House limping towards them. She picked herself up of the staircase.
"Cameron, can I talk to you please?" Cameron knew House was being sincere, because he actually said please.
"Yeah. Ok." Cameron said in a resigned tone.
"Are you going to be ok?" Cuddy enquired,
"Yeah, I will be fine, thanks for the talk. Again."
Cuddy walked back down the stairs towards her office.

"You said you wanted to talk?" Cameron looked at House with a look that could kill.
"Yeah... well.... I kinda want to apologize for what I said... well yelled before. I was out of line."
"Yes, well what are we going to do? Are we going to bring a baby into this world which is not loved? Are we going to bring a baby into this world at all?" She looked at the wall. House didn't know what to say. Until..
"I want you to keep the baby. I know I'm not going to be a perfect father, hell, maybe not even a good one. But every child does deserve a loving father. It want the baby to have what I didn't have."
"Greg.." tears were streaming down her face as she kissed him. When they broke apart she walked down the stairwell.
"I will see you later. There is still stuff we need to sort out." She walked out of the stairwell, leaving House with a smirk on his face.

Cameron walked into Cuddy's office with a gigantic smile on her face.
"I take it the talk went well." Cuddy looked up from her computer.
"Yes, it did. I also wanted to ask you something."
"Shoot." Cuddy shut the laptops cover and looked at Cameron's face directly.
"Would you do an ultrasound? To see if everything is ok?"
"Sure. Meet me upstairs in 10 minutes."

*********1 hour later************
Cameron and House sat in the clinic, House with a cup of coffee, Cameron with a glass of water. Cuddy walked in with the ultrasound pictures.
She put them down on the table and Cameron slid it over towards her and House.
There was a set of hands, a set of feet, and another set of hands and feet.
"Is this a mutated baby?" House asked stupidly.
Cameron smacked his arm. "No, Greg. We are having twins."

House pushed his coffee away and limped out of the room.
