Sorry for disappearing for so long guys....my life has been just one thing after another and with 4 classes and a puppy to raise this summer I just never had time to write.
So let's play catch- up...
Our California/Mexico cruise was wonderful.Very beautiful and relaxing. Jonathan and I ate like royalty in the dining room and I had a blast at the quarter machine in the casino (those things are addicting!). They also had a sushi restuarant on board and we saw a few shows at the theatre. I especially liked the free room service :) We did have a few problems at the airport- lost luggage and delayed flights on the way there, missed flight on the way home. Let me just say I will not fly Continental anymore!
~~~Catalina Island off the coast of California was so peaceful. Most people drive golf carts or ride bikes around the island. The water was sparkling turquoise and it was just really tropical feeling. We went snorkeling and laid out on the beach and ate ice cream.
~~~San Diego was a lot nicer than I expected. Definitely a place I'd go to again and again. We rode the trolley all over town and enjoyed all the gardens and parks. We spent most of the day at the famous San Deigo Zoo (which was huge and very impressive!!). My favorite- the koalas.
~~~Ensenada, Mexico was not what I was expecting. I thought it would be like Cozumel or Cancun but it was more of a run down city. We did enjoy the flea market (I got a one of a kind pair of leather sanadals and a knit dress) but the city was very dirty and there were no beaches for tourists. Too many sharks maybe?!
~~~Our last stop, Los Angeles, where we stayed for 1 1/2 days was.....cool. Out hotel- the Roosevelt Hotel was amazing! It's where the Oscars used to be held and it's right on Hollywood Blvd- literally across the street from the Hollywood walk of fame!! We ate at The Ivy in Beverly Hills (high class!) and took a tour of the celebritity homes. I know what you're thinking..."Nicole did you see anyone famous?"YESSSSS! We say Dr Phil on his way to tennis lessons at the Beverly Hills Hotel and Sharon Osbourne pulling into her driveway. Jonathan and I also saw Ashley Simpson at the restuarant we ate at on Sanata Monica Blvd. Too cool. No autographs though :( Los Angeles did have some nice parts but overall I wouln't want to live there. Not as impressive as I thought. If we go to California again I think we'll stick to Malibu or Santa Monica.

That's all guys...I will write more later about everything but tomorrow's my 22nd Bday and we're going out on a boat trip in the morning. Gotta get going....
