Bah, I HATE when school becomes a big competition with fellow students and a constant effort to succeed. I've been there, and what's even worse is that, once you're successfully in the program you struggled so ridiculously hard to get into, you aren't even really able to sit back, relax, and enjoy learning the material for the sake of learning the material. Instead, you're trying your ass off to GET RID of the dog-eat-dog, I'll-study-till-I-go-unconscious mentality cultivated by the getting-in efforts in the first place! That's where I am currently...I've decided that my master's is enough...I don't want to get into a doctoral program. So, that being said, why am I still killing the fun of the experience by trying for the highest grade in the class on every test? A B would be fine...a B would be AWESOME.
Anyway, this wasn't supposed to be about me...I just wanted to let you know that I've been there too, and although it's a bit different for everybody, I do know how much it SUCKS. Good luck!
What kind of grad program are you trying to get into?
my bf had the same trouble when he first got into dentistry school. all they need to get on exams is a P for pass but he would still study all the time. he's learning now though!
i want to get my master's of speech-language pathology.
